a) it does not seem to be possible to mine directly into your nicehash wallet using claymore
b) using nicehash miner forces a restart of claymore every minute
c) no reply from nicehash concerning these problems
d) nicehash deceived a lot of people by lack of security and being hacked
e) using nicehash you are getting less money
f) instead if using nicehash miner you could also use awesome miner
g) it is more profitable to mine any altcoin directly

Hence why use Nicehash?

I don't understand the profit losses on equihash. They are down nearly 50%. Price hasn't dropped 50%. The rational behind not giving more when prices rose was the ratio to btc. BTC has also dropped, so why the huge losses? What's the math behind that? What's the equation? Whose taking the money? Why? The hashing is still going on. Coin prices are only slightly down. Where do we find out?

Network difficulty for mined coins means the same hashrate will produce less coin over time.  Even if coin prices don't move, you're making less coins as difficulty increases.

Simple really..
the more miners come online, the higher the hashrate for that coin/algorithm.
That means more competition, higher difficulty, less payout per hash.

In a nutshell, there are more miners mining now, than there were yesterday, the day before, the day before etc etc.
More miners means a lower payout for doing the same work for everyone. it certainly doesn't help that the price of coins is dropping across the board.

Google it. There are guides out there for doing that. I wouldn't bother though. Not worth the waste in electricity for a single L3+. If you have a 100, then maybe.

Interesting. I just googled : Nicehash solo mining, and took 10 seconds to look at the results and found a bunch of (working links) guides on how to do it and forum discussions about it.

Try again dude.

The best thing for you to do. Lookup setting up mpos mining pool.  There is a YouTube guide broken into three parts. Once you get up and rolling mine solo with your l3+.  Also maybe lookup sammy007 proxy on github maybe it supports solo to wallet.  Honestly I’m trying hard to understand with decentralization as the goal why everyone tries to promote pools.  I guess since ASICS are already online for most coins. Only way us little guys ever see any of the pie.  If you have patience trust me this will pay off more than any other way. You are in control of your own destiny this way.

Best vids on mpos are by whatthefluxable. Three part series.  Also maybe look into nomp. It’s fairly easy to setup as well

Problem is, unless someone has a mid to large size farm, solo mining is futile. You might get decent, average or losses as returns. With current prices and difficulties it is more likely a loss to solo mine for a home miner.

With GPU mining on a few coins you can still solo mine with decent returns but all the major coins are unreachable with home-based or small farm gear solo mining.

Go Big or Go Home.

Hi, can anybody explain why my hashrate drops to 0 on different rigs with different algos? I dont see a logic. One rig mines e.g. neosrypt normally, the other one has 0 hashes on neoscrypt. After some minutes it starts increasing. At the beginning this occured just once in a while, but now it has a significant impact on my overall hashrate and profit.
Why does the miner not switch to another algo? In such a case?

Thanks for any advice.

I just forked the latest release from nicehash miner legacy github and started to work on an FR translation.
I'll submit the pull of fr.lang once it's done.

Hello NiceHash community!

I've mined to an external wallet address for about a week early January. Checking up on it now it shows a balance of 0.00000 BTC - even though I know there were ~$40 worth of pending payouts on there.

The balance was above the 0.001 BTC necessary not to be discarded and should qualify for a payout, however the "Payment History" shows no transactions either.  Huh

Not sure this is the right support channel, but very thankful for any hints of experienced NiceHash users on what might be going on here!
