I realize this may have been answered in a different post, but the thread is 100+ pages, so if someone (especially nicehash) has already answered, please forgive me.

So the question is this - why does the NH pool request work restarts so often? Even when I'm hashing the same order (I know for sure because there was only one active one and all miners on the pool were assigned to it), the pool requests work restart every 10 seconds or so. This has dramatic effect on the average hash rate. For example I have a really stable 3.5 TH on regular pools, but on NH with all the work restart requests, it drops down to 2.9-3.1. So this actually means that any increase in pay-per-GH over a regular pool will be negated by the significant decrease in your rig speed.

Couldn't it be adjusted so that there is no work restarts unless you change the order you are hashing for, or something similar? See the screenshots, work restarts 10-12 seconds apart.

BOTs control order on nicehash ,when order is "DEAD" ,your miners restart with new pool of new order (same pool of old order or diffirent pool),andwhen  BOTs control 3-5 order "DEAD" same time and your miner restart many times

After further analysis I'd HIGHLY suggest Nicehash disable their API, implement captchas for making new orders, remove the ability to modify hashpower, disallow people from refilling orders, and increase order cancellation fees to 5-10%.

Maybe you should also HIGHLY suggest to ban multipools (they are an essence of coin difficulty arbitrage) and coin exchange APIs (bots steal good prices!). Also, imagine there are exchanges running arbitrages themselves! This all should be banned!

Yeah, that's what arbitrage does - targets market inefficiencies and destroys them. You will have live with it.

(I am not running arbitrages of any kind myself).

Multipools can't be manipualted the way NH is being manipulated right now. They're two completely different things. Exchange API bots are here to stay, unfortunately, NH however is the only game that does what they do with the supported algos. This would be better if they were a multipool.

NH can stop this. Don't act like they can't. There aren't a dozen or so NH's floating around with the same amount of hashing power. NH is the only game in town and hashing power is a finite resource. It's all starting to pool here, if you don't kill off arbitrage the miners will go under as they'll push the prices down to power break even/shutdown for miners. Then no one wins, except the 2-3 people running arbitrage bots on NH right now.

As explained several times before already, we will not interfere with market in any kind.

You're already interfering with the market by allowing arbitrage bots into miner territory! Miners could actually profit off protocols, now you're gathering them all up and executing them. This isn't 'organic' and this sort of market didn't even exist before NH showed up. This isn't the same as rental pools such as MMR. MMR doesn't allow automated rentals and doesn't just feed out hashrate to bots.

Allowing a handful of people to complete rape the market is like willfully trying to destroy it and don't pretend this is natural and orderly. This didn't even exist up till recently and you're allowing them to manipulate your system to further destroy the market.

I don't understand where the lack of interference comes from either. I didn't say NH should be shut down, but BOTS, non-human entities that automatically push humans out of the market should be eliminated. You have all these rules setup when people setup their orders to try to make the system seem 'fair', you even talk about how Westhash exists so we don't get cheated out of a few fraction of hashing power, but then you allow them to completely manipulate, knowingly let them manipulate the market, which completely wrecks the whole thing.

Earlier tonight there were placeholder orders on .2 through .3, where one person was controlling all the hashrate. He'd top up his orders when they were low, so people wouldn't end up underneath. Eventually people simply canceled their orders, the price would drop through all the ranks of his orders as they set them to .05 GH of power, and then the bottom order above the next highest that wasn't them would be set to infinite or a really high number. This was on Nicehash too, Westhash has the same guy completely controlling x15 I mentioned last week.

I think you're confusing regulation for blatant exploitation of miners and buyers by automated entities. How is making a human set up orders regulating the market anyway? That's the way it's done in the first place. Making a penalty for people trying to cancel orders also encourage people to ride things out. Disallowing people from changing their hashrate prevents placeholder orders which are being used to push people out of the market (which otherwise would increase prices). There is even a bit about placeholders in the FAQ, yet it's broken and placeholders still exist.
They don't cancel order, simple order mark as "DEAD" and drop hash with low price ,and active to top up .Nicehash accept BOTs or themself use BOTs ,and rape all renters by not permit to increase, decrease price.F*ck all BOTs

WHY does nicehash use Bot to control price but not permit members to increase, decrease price and set cancel fee order  Huh IT
's not FAIR to rent hash  Angry

As stated many times before, we are not manipulating prices, orders, or any aspects of NiceHash, and we don't have our own bots with "extra features". We believe in free and open market.

But we know that buyers can be innovative, therefore we provide API and allow automation within our hashing power market. A few tips: one can setup his own pools and manage them in a programmatic way; and one could use automation tools from third-party pools and manage pool's workers in a programmatic way. All the rest is buyers ingenuity. However, to keep space and pace for manual operation as well we will introduce some limitations regarding the orders (order lifetime, etc.), but this is left for future upgrades.
IT's not FREE AND OPEN MARKER ,ONLY BOT MARKET

This site is such a piece of crap. I placed an order for hash and once placed and stared to run it went dead saying difficulty set to low. I could change it or the site so I had to cancel anf take the hit on cancellation fee. The I figured well I will just try a different pool should be safe because i have rented tons of rigs and sent to this pool. Same crap. Now I have to pay their fee and then I am sure their is a withdraw fee to they will hit me for all with 0 hash. Everyone if you want to rent go to beta rigs it is a much easier site.

Not eve going to bother. I will stick with beta rigs. It is a lot of hash power but when they charge these fees they should allow you to change pool when you want too. especially if they say the pool is having problems with them.

As buyer, how to make it work with vardiff pools??
Since you increased the Scrypt minimum difficulty to 128, all NiceHash do is eating my money without giving the service I'm willing to pay for. I always get the "Disconnected. Pool difficulty too low." error.

Why don't you give time to the pool to adjust the difficulty?

Agreed. Thats the problem I have. I guess they say they dont sponsor pools but they want to make sure you mine with only the pools that are set up for them. Hmmm a little money under the table.

We are sorry for you to have issues with those very low difficulty pools. Our system requires minimum scrypt pool difficulty to be set at 128 - so if pool is using vardiff it has to start with the minimum 128 and then rise it. Look, it is truly nonsense for today's pools to have such a low difficulty - anything below 1024 is literally killing any today's scrpyt miner. It is true that this is currently an issue with NiceHash since you can't know in advance if your pool will provide a difficulty high enough, that's why we are working on an order verification tool which will verify order before it will be submitted and check for proper pool difficulty and extranonce sizes - stay tuned, this tool will be available in our system in the near future. Until the tool is available I encourage you to contact pool operators and make sure they are using fixed diff >=128 or if using vardiff that they start with >=128 ... anything else is simply killing effectiveness of today's scrpyt miners, not only those connected to NiceHash but any miner that is connected to that kind of pool. Thanks for understanding!

New Nice Hash Widget update

- Added support for "Currently Paying"
- Removed obsolete "Round accepted" field
- Fixed "Unpaid" field that stopped working due to the layout change (Nobody told me!  Grin )

Enjoy!

Hi all,

Last week (3 september) you publish on twitter this: "Due to excessive overhead on fast Scrypt ASIC miners we set new min pool diff for Scrypt to 128 (check your Scrypt orders)."

But actually on the address "stratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com:3333" with a password of 2048 and your publication, we have again fast switch with diff around 1 or 2, so with asic miners this difficulty crash the asic hardware which is very very too low.

Could you check your settings, actually we can't continue to mining on your pool if hardware crash every 5 hours because diff is too low or if you can't solve this could you open another addresse with only high diff (around 2048 or 4096 minimum).

Thank you very much to your help and thank you to all your work on this pool.
