Am trying to update to extranonce to my S3s. I keep getting stuck at step 5 (from the README document). I have no programming expertise with anything. Really old fart here I downloaded the patch onto my Windows 7 PC. Is the correct way to write the command or step 5...(ie: the step where you upload the patch to your S3: WinSCP c:/user/downloads/AntMinerS3-cgminer/cgminer root@192.168.1.234 :/usr/bin/cgminer

You can download it from http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/ . ~~MZ~~

I will give it try. I'm guessing you mean with 4.7.1?

I have been trying to use the service for the last few days, but I am going to go back to the other rental places. There are to many leaches on NiceHash and WestHash and they manipulate the prices. The guys with the order numbers that are extra old and have about 20 accounts and if you over bid they will swap the Hash rate from 1 account to another account and drive the price up till you leave and then they will drop all of there accounts price to a very low hash rate except the low priced ones. I don't want to place an order and then need to check it every 3 minutes. I think it would work a lot better to not let people change hash rates or to not let people open and close orders mutiple times per day. I tried playing the game with them but got tired of it, which I am sure is what they count on. Could be a great place to rent but as of right now its just got to many scammers and leaches.....keith

I haven't experienced this from them, it is still profitable. If you use, parameter p=price , you will be able to solve your problem. ~~MZ~~

Go into the scrypt, X11, X13 and put in an order and you will see it happen....go look at the order numbers of the accounts with the most hashing power and you will see that as soon as you over bid them with a large order they will switch to another old account that is higher priced and keep doing it until they drive the price up....they never raise the price of the account, they always switch to a different account....cheers

What the hell happened last night on SHA-256, with the outrageously high price paid for hash? And can we do it again?

What the hell happened last night on SHA-256, with the outrageously high price paid for hash? And can we do it again? Paycoin.com happened. It broke within a couple of hours after launch though. Should be relaunched tomorrow (Sunday), keep an eye on those SHA256 rates.

What the hell happened last night on SHA-256, with the outrageously high price paid for hash? And can we do it again? Ppl were buying a lot of power to mine the new coin- ie: PayCoin (XPY). At one point nearly 10 % of all BTC mining power switched over to mine it. PayCoin set a new record The block chain was overwhelmed by the unexpected mining demand and stalled at block 277. This is being fixed as we speak. The 3 pools will be back up tomorrow sometime. You can get updates here: https://hashtalk.org/category/3/announcementshttps://hashtalk.org/category/26/paycoin-and-paybase

Lyra2RE algorithm added.SETTINGS:Here are some recommended settings: "pools" : [ { "name" : "NiceHash_Lyra2RE", "url" : "stratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com:3342", "user" : "your-BTC-address", "pass" : "d=1", "algorithm" : "Lyra2RE", "nfactor" : "10", "xintensity" : "64", "thread-concurrency" : "8192", "gpu-engine" : "1050", "gpu-memclock" : "1500", "worksize" : "64", "gpu-threads" : "2" }, Download miner from here: https://github.com/metalicjames/sgminer-Lyra2RE/releaseshttps://github.com/metalicjames/ccminer-Lyra2RE/releasesThese miners should also work well on other algorithms, but we haven't checked if all algorithms optimizations are included. MULTIALGO:Lyra2RE is disabled on multilago by default (because currently you have to use a special sgminer fork and the transition will take a while, I guess). But nevertheless if you want to use multialgo you can still use it by manually adding Lyra2RE factor to your pool's password setting, for example: "pass" : "d=1;f0=0;f2=0;f3=8.5;f4=4.5;f5=500;f6=3.5;f7=14;f8=0.35; f9=1.25", (as always, remember to add this to all your NiceHash/WestHash pools entries, not only for the new Lyra2RE entry).

I am using antminer s3+ and set Nicehash as my pool as 1: betarigs 2: nicehash 3: ghash.io
I don't know why but nicehash is dead on my miner side although nicehash is not down. Could you guess what is the problem? Thanks

Total hash rate of Nice Hash + BetaRigs combined is less than 1.5 PH/s which is less than 1% of total BTC hash rate and there is no change at all in btc hash rate. Not even close

I guess you are using cgminer and have added #xnsub. Try to remove #xnsub and restart miner. Can you please post the contents of your .bat file or config file here? Post between code tag which you can find it the icons. ~~MZ~~

It is due to PayCoin. After the launch, many started buying hashes from nicehash. I haven't seen this earlier. ~~MZ~~
