As far as speed goes... sure X11 lets you hash faster than Scrypt... but it is all relative... everyone is hashing faster. The big draw is the reduction on power usage and heat. Would love to see more coins head for X11 and less for scrypt.
Those big draws are an optimized miner away from disappearing, people will always trade more heat/power for greater hash. The problem with X11 is that it is still quite new so it is hard to say whether it will become a standard like scrypt or fade quickly like heavy once optimizers get to tackle it. That said, the pool will likely get supported in the future but the priority was clearly on getting sha2 & scrypt up and running first.

I ran into this issue on one computer as well. This is exactly what I did and it worked. we broke 100mhs on one coin! people are really supporting the pool! Keep sharing! The more people we have at noirpool the stronger our coin becomes! That is pretty awesome. 100mhs is a lot of hash to be throwing around!

Hi Mario, I didn't get a PM so I believe that you mean this post here: with a pool directly. we may require 3%, that would be a solid source of income. so at NRB and NRS best greetings mit einem pool direct. können wir 3% verlangen, das wäre eine solide Einnahmequelle. so bei NRB als auch NRS best grüße ps: as NAN is a German, I like talking to him, in order to support da NAN ein deutscher ist, spreche ich gern mit Ihm, zwecks unterstützung and I think that he always reads with;) bzw. ich denke, er liest immer mit;) I have a couple of thoughts on this idea: 1. The total hash and difficulty for NRB is extremely low so if obtaining NRB is the goal than mining it directly would provide you with far more than a multi-pool would at this time given the thinly traded market. 2. Many of the initial miners are NRS supporters and doing another pool for NRB could result in us 'dividing our efforts' resulting in less profitability for all. 3. The long term plans for NRB is uncertain at this time and it is not currently being developed further so I would worry that if we are rolling out new services to support it then people will take that as an indication that it is under active development. Thanks, Logan

Thanks, Logan no but I sent the PM to the wrong. you now have an. there was a transfer of 1% of the general fund but but that we should make a nrs pool directlymom algo as NRS is also more efficient than Scrypt, and we could earn 3% min fee for the company directly;) my opinion

Wallet build on Linux (Mint) fails with the following error: /usr/bin/ld: unrecognized option '--large-address-aware' /usr/bin/ld: use the --help option for usage information collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [NoirShares-Qt] Error 1
Was building this way (from the latest git): qmake-qt4 NoirShares-qt.pro make Please advise. couple things. you will need to adjust the .pro for linux as it is currently setup for windows. you will need to adjust for your libraries to point at the correct locations. also your going to need to comment out a couple things as well that are specific to windows builds. Hm... I'm not that professional to have it done. Couldn't dev had just put another .pro for Linux build? Haven't had such problems with other coins. Bump

thanks but to NRB Said Bawizi on 02/05/2014 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=364180.100 Now that NRS is functional and established, i would like to move NRB to mom PoW/PoS as well, the mining period will be short. your existing NRB will be absorbed and scaled, representing a third of the chain, the other third goes to NG and the last shall be mined out over 6 months. Once this is complete we move to PoS system, and after reading the VelPoS paper i am inclined to think of it as a most suitable candidate. The NG team will be on call anytime you need information.

Quick instructions for mining on NoirPool.com:- Scrypt URL: stratum+tcp://www.noirpool.com:4444
- SHA URL: stratum+tcp://www.noirpool.com:4445
- User: Use your NRS address
- Password: Choose a password
It's literally as easy as that. Once you hit .5 NRS "mined" you'll see a payout directly in your wallet, no registration required!(Site seems to be a little slow at the moment, however, mining is never affected)
