hmmmm, gpu-pool has 1/7 of cpu-pool hashrate, yet no blocks found in last 5 hours...

block was eventually found, although it took like 500%.

We are using MPOS for the web interface but all of MPOS's statistics are based on scrypt and sha256 coins.  The numbers between the 2 pools are not comparible like that.  The math used to calculate hashrate on the cpu pool versus the gpu pool is different.  MPOS changed how those are numbers are calculated between the release used on the cpu pool and the release on the gpu pool plus they are just guesses anyways.  The pool has no idea what individual hashrates are, it just sees the shares submitted and tries to guess the hashrate on that.  Also the difficulty of the shares on the cpu pool and the gpu pool are different.  The gpu pool share difficulty is higher as gpu's are able to do more work than the cpu's. 

I probably have the share estimate for shares needed for a block wrong as well but we only had a few blocks discovered so far to go on.  I basically am trying to minimize the amount of code changes to MPOS needed so we can easily apply updates while getting some sort of reasonable looking numbers in the web interface.  I will adjust it further after we have more data to go on.

Simple Participation Guidelines

Currently, the only way to participate is to buy NoirShares for ownership rights in future DACs.  The General Fund is the only way to have a stake in all future projects, but funding closed on April 12, 2014.  It will be possible to participate in individual projects going forward, but we have to wait until funding opens for those ventures.  Nothing has been announced yet.
