Current PoS Difficulty: 113.78298643

What is PoS Difficulty and why does it matter? - PoS difficulty is an indicator of how many wallets are open with many unspent transactions sitting in them. Generally, the higher the PoS difficulty, the better as it represents the amount of wallets that are open, and how secure our network is!

To read more about it, please check out our OP post here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568529.0

It's at 700 now.

Does it mean PND users love their coins and BC are mostly on the exchange waiting to be dumped?

It's a fallacy that you need most of the coins in a PoS coin to attack it; it all depends on the difficulty. You can do an attack even if you have less than 1% of the coins. It's all on the difficulty.

-----

Doesn't a multipool have a TON of PND? I thought I saw that earlier in this thread that someone/a pool was buying fuck tons of PND

To all newbies:  this sounds like a socket puppet for a whale trying to get people to buy for some scheme.  He's got all the signs:  use of the word "moon", the boarding of trains is mentioned, buying cheap is urged and he's a new user.  If the poster is just an enthusiastic newbie, my apologies but when a coin shows any success the moon-men creep in.  Best to be like the Dogecoin people:  the whole moon thing is an in-joke to them, they're always posting pix of Shiba inus on rockets, gazing sadly at the moon, etc. and absolutely no-one who isn't a rank nube or just naive takes any of it as more than light-hearted fun.

Thanks for all the work on this coin.
To the moon, buy cheap now or miss this train

BIG WINNER!

Ok but would they not need to update to avoid forking or something

They also need to announce that a new version of the wallet (2.0.2) is available like Swisscex did

It means exactly what it says. Your wallet tried to generate coins that weren't accepted by the rest of the network.

The Daily Panda

Wallet version 2.0.2 is now available. Mandatory wallet update!

Wallet version 2.0.2 is a mandatory update which corrects the issues that you have experienced during the PoS switch-over. It is now available on https://github.com/pandacoin-official/pandacoin, http://thepandacoin.org and as binary.

A few things to consider before updating:

1. You NEED to back up your wallet.dat. The software will automatically do a copy but it's better to be sure.
2. The wallet will take around 10 minutes reindexing so please be patient.
3. The wallet might crash and give an error after importing (Windows 7 has been tested successfully). This is okay - just start the wallet again and you should be good to go.

The wallet is available to download under the following links:
win32 standalone|win32 setup|mac|linux|src

Pandacoin (PND) has successfully transitioned to 100% PoS from 100% PoW!

Pandacoin (PND) had begun their PoW phase since Feb 16, 2014 and has been mined for 95 days. Pandacoin (PND) is now one of the rare PoS coins with such a long PoW phase, a duration of more than 3 months, to distribute the coins fairly out towards the community.

Current PoS Difficulty: 516.36273226

What is PoS Difficulty and why does it matter? - PoS difficulty is an indicator of how many wallets are open with many unspent transactions sitting in them. Generally, the higher the PoS difficulty, the better as it represents the amount of wallets that are open, and how secure our network is!

To read more about it, please check out our OP post here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568529.0

Can I still mine Pandacoin (PND) directly with my mining rig?

With Pandacoin (PND) as a pure PoS coin, you would not be able to mine it directly. Instead, you will mine other alternative crypto-currencies and exchange them for Pandacoin (PND) through our ever growing mhs multipool. This way, you will be able to still mine Pandacoin (PND) from the multipool, and help increase the value of Pandacoin (PND) at the same time.

How does the Pandacoin (PND) multipool work?

The Pandacoin (PND) multipool automatically switches between coins to mine based on difficulty and price variations in order to be as profitable as possible for the miners. For payout, the multipool computes the proportional share of each miner over rounds that last four hours. Once a round is complete, and after the mined blocks become mature, the multipool exchanges all coins for Pandacoin (PND). Please note that due to the time required for block maturation, deposits and withdrawals on exchanges, payouts for a round are processed one hour after the end of the next one. The multipool also apply a fee of 1.25%, in addition to the exchange and transactions fees required by the operation

Join us!

We have implemented a Pandacoin (PND) IRC Lotto Faucet system, where you can type the following commands on our irc channel every 24 hours for a chance to win up to 10 million Pandacoins (PND): !lotto !panda or !gimme

It works by a lotto system, where you get one try every 24 hours:

Normal payouts = 300-500 PND
1/10 chance = 1,000 PND
1/100 chance = 10,000 PND
1/1,000 chance = 100,000 PND
1/10,000 chance = 1 million PND
1/100,000 chance = 10 million PND

So join us on #PandacoinPND on freenode.net to try out the Lotto-Faucet commands !lotto !panda !gimme, have a chance of winning up to 10 million Pandacoins (PND) every 24 hours and chat with the fellow Pandas and the dev team!
