Hello, i am Alt-alarm, to alarm people from scam.

I did analysis on PND, and find it a big scam.

Recently POS was added, the POS PND is not 0% premine, instead, it is 95% premine before the announcement of the POS.

When you change it from POW to POS, you are making a new coin (see C2 and NC2, CAI and CAIX),
the POW PND is a copy paste of litecoin without premine (i do some homework, it is complicated because of the 3 Pandacoin), but the POS PND has a premine.

Premine is before the public are able to mine a coin, the coin can be mined by some people or group. Before the public can mine this POS PND (less than 2 billion coin left), a small group already premined almost 30 billion POW PND, before the annnouncement of the POS PND, this is why it has premine.

With such high premine, this PND is a scam comparable with the recent premine scam in Asiacoin.

And that coming from a new account.
Not suspicious at all.

I would call that fair distribution before the POS, not premine.

What premine are you talking about though? Would you mind pointing out the evidence?

Before the Announcement of the POS PND (different from POW PND), there are more than 30 billion PND exist. POS PND is a different coin with POW PND, because everything change.

30 billion PND cannot be mined after forum member see the POS PND, it is premine.

Please don't confuse POS PND and POW PND.

Another thing to alarm is they change reward from 500,000 per block to 50,000 per block after POS ANN.

I would suggest if this group really want PND to bloom, increase block reward, make the POS mineable PND at least 30 billion

Not really. Maybe you have missed our old thread which is located at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=464476. This is the new one.

The change in block reward was requested by the community and was publicly announced.

As others have pointed out - you have zero posts made with this account which leads me to believe that you're here in order to spread unnecessary FUD while not being able to provide the necessary evidence to back up your claims.

The first Pandacoin (PND) charity initiative have been created by a dedicated and awesome community member! Let's show our support and feel good by donating PNDs to a choice out of 4 different charity organisations!

It is a unique concept in that all donations made now will be held and only released to the chosen charity organisations until June 1st, 2015.

The charity wallet will be on a transparent and public address, managed by the Pandacoin (PND) development team. Read more about it and the chosen charity organisations here: http://pnd4pnd.com/

Pandacoin (PND) official statement regarding future switch from 100% Proof of Work (PoW) to 100% Proof of Stake (PoS).

The Pandacoin (PND) development team are keen to keep up with technological innovations in the alternative currency space in order to remain relevant and have a viable and successful future that is in line with our vision for the coin. We, the developers, as a team often take a collaborative approach to Pandacoin (PND), by interacting and taking feedback from our community on what they want to see for the coin in the near future. As such, we recently held a poll the Pandacoin (PND) community to vote on either switching to PoS from PoW or have Merged Mining with Dogecoins. The poll concluded and the Pandacoin (PND) community has voted in favor of PoS (url of the community poll: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=572462.0).

Well, the Pandacoin (PND) community has spoken and now we are proud to reveal these PoS specifications and a FAQ so that you have something to look forward to! When we switch over to PoS, Pandacoin (PND) would become one of the rare PoS coins with a such lengthy PoW phase of 3 months to fairly distribute the coins towards the community.

Specifications

Proof of Stake (to be implemented)

Symbol: PND
Block time: 1 minute
Difficulty retarget: every block
Nominal stake interest: 2.5% annually
Min transaction fee: 0.1 PND (Fees are paid to stakeholders)
Confirmations: 3, maturity: 720
Min stake age: 72 hours, no max age
P2P port: 22444, RPC port: 22445

Proof of Work (to be phased out after total of approximately 3 months of PoW)

Symbol: PND
Algorithm: Scrypt
Premine: 0%
Max coins: 32,000,000,000 (See FAQ)
Block Rewards: 1 Minute Block Targets, KGW
Reward system: 50,000 per block until we switch over to PoS.

FAQ

When can we expect PoS to be implemented?
Our devs that are currently responsible for making it happen are already at the stage of doing thorough testing, making sure that when we make the switch from PoW to PoS, it would be a smooth transition with no bugs or errors. That being said, the switch from PoW to PoS will happen when we hit our new PoW phase maximum coin cap of 32,000,000,000, which would happen in approximately 15 days (or around 21st of May, 2014).

How long has the PoW phase been running so far?
Pandacoin (PND) had begun their PoW phase since Feb 16, 2014 and has been mined for 78 days as of this post. When we switch over to PoS, we will be one of the rare PoS coins with such a long PoW phase (Approximately 3 months of PoW) to distribute the coins fairly out towards the community.

How many Pandacoins (PND) are currently in existence?
At this time of the post, there are 30,887,898,841 Pandacoins (PND) that have been mined so far with our PoW stage in the last 78 days. You can check it here: http://pandachain.net/chain/PandaCoin/q/totalbc

What will the maximum number of Pandacoins (PND) be?
Not fixed nor limited when we switch over to PoS. The 100,000,000,000 Pandacoin (PND) coin cap from PoW stage would no longer be relevant since we are switching to PoS. We are switching to PoS when 32,000,000,000 Pandacoins (PND) are mined, which marks the end of the approximately 3 months of PoW phase.

How could I start PoS mining when it rolls out?
Once we have finished testing the PoW to PoS conversion and have it implemented, you will have to download our new wallet, have it unlocked and leaving your wallet open with an online connection to start mining!

Do I need to exchange my current Pandacoins (PND) for new ones when we switch to PoS?
No, you keep your existing ones. All you have to do is to download the new wallet, unlock it, keep the wallet open, stay connected to the internet and start mining coins from your wallet!

Can I still mine Pandacoin (PND) directly with my mining rig?
With Pandacoin (PND) switching to a pure PoS coin, you would not be able to mine it directly. Instead, you will mine other alternative cryptocurrencies and exchange them for Pandacoin (PND) through our 450+ mhs multipool. This way, you will be able to still mine Pandacoin (PND) from the multipool, and help increase the value of Pandacoin (PND) at the same time.

Bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=552464.0

How does the Pandacoin (PND) multipool work?

The Pandacoin (PND) multipool automatically switches between coins to mine based on difficulty and price variations in order to be as profitable as possible for the miners. For payout, the multipool computes the proportional share of each miner over rounds that last four hours. Once a round is complete, and after the mined blocks become mature, the multipool exchanges all coins for Pandacoin (PND). Please note that due to the time required for block maturation, deposits and withdrawals on exchanges, payouts for a round are processed one hour after the end of the next one. The multipool also apply a fee of 1.25%, in addition to the exchange and transactions fees required by the operation

Well said. But I wouldn't call this premine, it was stealth mining when no one else wanted to mine it. And when you have 30 bil you can move market as you wish. They dont cash out at this point its too early. But at 100, 200, 1000 satoshi... Smiley
But similar thing was with bitcoin. Group was mining at low diff when no one knew what was going on and then... price "went up". So you can call all crypto market as scam not only this coin.

I would like to "alarm" people that everyone on bitcointalk who saw the thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=464476 (created february 14) and decided to mine or buy PND at some point is holding PND. Really, who would have thought, if they mined or bought, they have PND.
I would also like to "alarm" everyone that in a poll that was open for 2 weeks (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=572462), the members of this same community and anyone else interested voted for PND to change the method it uses to verify new blocks from scrypt proof-of-work(PoW) to proof-of-stake (PoS)

Finally I would like to "alarm" everyone that if you heard about bitcoin today, you can only mine (100-x)% of the remaining bitcoins to be produced, being x% de amount already in circulation, and this is a premine because after we reach a certain point in time bitcoin is suddenly not bitcoin anymore, so do not mistake bitcoin for bitcoin. I hope everyone is very alarmed now and will abandon bitcoin, then mine/buy something else, I may even buy your bitcoins at a smaller price than the current to help you out Wink

Bye friends I wont ask for any compensation for saving you all, helping you by taking your bad coins and making you acquire my good ones is compensation enough for me rofl kthxbye

All the information is public

All the changes done to PND are only after the PND community decided it in a poll in this very forum

Am I too late to throw away these crappy Asiacoins?

AsiaCoin Address: ARpTnQpj4kZXWCetAhMZVkivj1rMfUm8f1

Balance: 178.673416 AC

Hash from Sig: IKgza9Tp3uIdvQ6B6V3DJ2I/pvbwPJq3PrwOzXhKHBa/Do1wuicEQNaq3NutT0CdrLcGqcwG1QvtsTvZZN0ynqI=

Panda Address: PE3hN71cj3c2h2AsVjdhsccLeouyBDyPte

Been setting up miners for the last 10 days of Pandacoin got 1.8 MH/s on it now with my new cards Cheesy

What kind of outreach does Pandacoin currently have in Asian Cryptomarkets?

I'd be interested in donating for some Pandacoin videos in Mandarin and Cantonese.

English/Mandarin/Cantonese Promo Videos:

So, a lot of coin communities over the past year or so have gone out and paid or community sourced promo videos.  They do three things:

1.  Give a chance to promote the coin virally and through social media more effectively.  People who are new to cryptocurrencies will be overwhelmed by the BTCtalk page.  They are not going to delve through the arcane aspects of the coin's tech specs.  Videos are key to spreading the adaption rate of any cryptocoin by making the coin's key features easily understood by everyone.

2.  They show potential cryptoinvestors that the community and dev are serious and willing to invest in promoting their coin.

3.  It gives something that the community can be proud of, something that they can share with friends, family, colleagues, and social media followers.

Most coins use Fiverr for this.

Promo Video Maker Choices  == there are lots of them

Cantonese Voiceover

English Voiceover

Mandarin Voiceover

So grand total will be 15-20 bucks or X________ PND coins.

You can tell me to go away and I am crazy but I try to engage in the community by suggesting things like this from time to time, if you like this.  I can do more for PND but I am dedicating most of my time currently to Black Dragon Coin.  Hope this helps Cheesy

I believe there is one chinese dev on the team. Videos would be awesome for those languages. Maybe PND-Chinese can voice them.
