Allow me to add to the confusion and fuckeduppery.
I sent some Bitcoins to this party. Are people who sent a coin of significantly less value going to receive significantly more of these magiccoins than me?
It seems so. To make things worse, now that the MSC adress has been removed from the safecoin site the MSC dump has started following the last few days pump. Gotta say this was a very bad way of doing fund-raising, definitely makes the Mastercoin foundation look very bad in my eyes.. Not sure what to think of the Maidsafe guys, were they "in on it" or just duped?

So what's the problem. I don't understand. You can't buy it with MasterCoins or what?

If something is valued at 6 Asspennies, then you should get 6 Asspennies worth of it at the current rate of exchange regardless of the currency you pay with.

Exactly. The way this was done it just looks like an easy way to pump MSC so that someone can cash out. I'll probably download the software and run a server as the tech really looks awesome, but I won't be buying into this "IPO". Especially considering how there seems to be no real business plan, nothing explaining how these Safecoins will magically appreciate over time.

The value of every coin is highly subjective, specially with these low volumes. Clearly the prices fixed by the MaidSafe foundation were thought to give a push to mastercoins. I don't see a problem here. Everytime a business accepts bitcoins is doing exactly the same.
The wrong thing is to announce that you will accept mastercoins and retract after 2 hours. This is price manipulation.

It's worse - they haven't told people to stop sending MSC to the MSC address or put out any official news about stopping accepting MSC.

Surely the fallout from utterly fucking over the kids paying with Bitcoin wouldn't be worth it to any infant project...

Conversion mastercoin > maidsafecoin happens automatically so I don't even know if it's possible for them to stop accepting MSC.

What happened to the mastercoin ipo address? why is it removed from the homepage?
I remember reading that they were expecting 70% ++ of the coins to be coming from BTC. But instead it looks like it was the other way around and everyone was cashing in on their MSC instead. This is absurd. I bought mastercoins only to convert them to safecoins and now I am at a loss (like 50%) only because I am 3 hours late. They should have done their calculations before, not changing the rule of the game while the IPO is going. I feel scammed. It's like a sort of pump and dump on mastercoin prices. If not scam, it's too silly for a company who have such great plans. I do not believe Maidsafe is a scam .... but it sure was a pump and dump for Mastercoin.

Lol at MSC pump and dump.
If you offer a 50% percent discount using MSC compared to BTC, you can't expect 70% users will pay with BTC...

so what's the status of investment? How many percent are we bought in so far?
We should be about 65% through at this point of writing. This is taking into calculation the first day bonus of 40% how can you find this out? I would like to monitor the sales too. I just bought a little amount. curious to see how it goes

Add your address to the end of https://masterchest.info/lookupadd.aspx?address= and it should work. It is for me at least.
