thats because somebody made GPU miner + prolly stratum for himself before devs could, so now he can trash the coin if he wants.
can be even competition of other notes heh.

Looks like a hardfork would have been a better choice.  Now this coin is dead.

It seems like someone wanted to kill this coin off.  It's the best implementation of a cryptonote coin so far so there is no reason for what's happening.  It has a working GUI, block chain loads in minutes rather than hours, aliases, and responsive dev.  The leading cryptonote coin is no better yet it dominates due to a couple wealthy benefactors pushing the coin and an obvious partnership with Poloniex to manipulate the market.  I'm glad I keep the vast majority of my funds in Bitcoin because in the end Bitcoin will be here and all these other coins are really nothing more than ponzi schemes that will be gone tomorrow.  The altcoin world is full of liars, cheats, scammers, and individuals lacking any sense of integrity and no coin is immune to the tactics they will use to line their greedy pockets.

The coin is not dead. The dev team is still here and everything works.

Well maybe not completely dead but it's on it's last breath.  NO matter how low you buy in at you get dumped on withing a day.  Now there's 100,000 bbr  sell sitting at .00025 while people are still dumping at .00021 and the price is down about 50% in the last week.  It's obvious that a few people are mining the majority of the coins and have been constantly dumping them for whatever they could.  They might as well just clean out the buy side on Poloniex and get it over with.

100k BBR sell wall has gone. Looks like someone was trying to make a point.

Agree fully with shojayxt. Books are being and have been gamed for a while. I mean on sell side, 0.00031747, followed by 0.00025716. regardless of where the bids lied, what rational actor would put next ask at 25% discount

That discrepancy is bots going retard, not actual asks (I think).

I am more intrigued by that wall. I hope it gets eaten to relieve him of his burden and stress  Grin Grin

I saw the BBR.FARM pool hash rate climb rapidly up to over 110 MH/s.  I am not sure how high it went to since I was away from computer afterwards for a while.  I saw 5 blocks found in an 1 hour period (plus 3 the previous hour). Then it went back down. Now the pool seems to be down. Perhaps it was more than the pool could handle?  It does seem interesting.
Edit: It back up at 55M at going up again.  Wow!
Edit: At 200M now. Approaching 10% of the network hash rate.  This is typical for other coins but not usual for BBR.
Edit: And back down it goes. Perhaps someone with large hash power is doing some tests

I saw that too on BBR.FARM and now it´s occur again. Interesting is that yesterday add only 5 more miners and now at 150MH/s there are only 3 more.
Thats mean that one miner have estimated 50MH/s and i wonder which machine can generate this huge hash power.
Or it´s possible to bundle hash power?
Would be interesting when the admin of bbr.farm clear up if the hashpower came from Amazon.

FYI, ~200MH/sec comes from Amazon.

Thank you for the Information.

And of how much connections compose the ~200MH/s from Amazon?

~400 connections.

Since the rate went from 10M to 200M in minutes, this is just one person or group. Imagine how many GPU cards one would need to generate the same hash.  This confirms that this big miner or miners is cloud mining.  This does take a risk in capital and doing the math right knowing when it is profitable,  as dga has been saying all along.  This is a window of opportunity for EC2 miners at this stage of BBR.  This will eventually shift toward  GPU or CPU mining rigs and pools as variables such as block reward, number of wallets, etc., and difficulty change.  And then cryptonote ASICs in a few years.

The plus side is the current miners cannot be accused of hoarding.  This helps the distribution and early adopters.  Keep in mind this coin is less than 3 months old we are also in a bear market. Enough rambling. Just my 2 booltoshi, or bool.

Good post. Someone is investing a lot with their miners for sure. Basically there is little competition between farms as the popularity isn't there. No doubt some of the early birds have sold/distributed/left which was the downward pressure but there are groups who are doing the opposite.

You mean Wild Keccak ASICs (mild correction) but that is a very big if as it would mean specifically for this coin and not any of the other Cryptonote coins (they use cryptonite algo).

I just bought a small amount of BBR.

It's a gamble on one thing, that Zoidberg could do to save this coin and double the price overnight:

Change the name.

I know the odds are low, which is why I did not buy much BBR.

Odds are better than you think.

Somehow I missed this. Are you suggesting that the odds of rebranding are better or did you mean better odds of the price going up? If rebranding, then wow!

Thanks for the cheap coins.  If you do mind me asking, did you use gpu, cloud, or bots?
what makes you think he had even 3 or 0.3 bbr?

go look at his posting history ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Embarrassed must i post dozens of posts that proves me got BBRs?

Wouldn't larger number of exchanges add an inertia, perhaps to absorb manipulations at Polo to an extent?

And adding to sites like whattomine.com to rise awareness of BBR?

... different pow to save coin

Do not see POW different to other CNs as a problem per se. It just lands a bit differently on available resources - which makes BBR complementary to other CNs in that sense. Not to put all eggs in one basket. That said, i better get myself few GPUs  Wink

re branding + different pow to save coin

agree about rebranding
but don't agree about pow, i still believe that our approach have future

GPU-miners gonna help to stand against botnets, but as you may be know - memory

As i could see - monero have this problem at that moment, very hight difficluty and price is still dumped.

It most definitely will. At the momenet, Mintpal would be the easiest destination since they are familiar with CryptoNote having already worked with Monero.

I thought whattomine already had BBR, guess not.

My humble opinion, I am definitely against different PoW. Publicly available miners are now doing very well and on equal footing with all. We also have Dr. Optimization (Wolf0) working on enhancements. I love the don't put all eggs in one basket approach with Wild Keccak, complimentary to Cryptonite of Monero.

So it looks like rebranding is a - Go ! I never thought zoidberg would agree to it Smiley I would love to see some wild guesses from folks.

ha, it took over a month for me to like Boolberry, but I know several others just don't like the name which keeps them away. They might as well post here what they want the name to be as well since the other complimentary factors are all there and the coin represents a great gateway coin to Cryptonote with its unbelievably low prices at the moment.

Some players taking notice about the talks of rebranding before the actual rebranding !!  Buy walls being put in place. I guess some are ready to relieve the 100k dumper of his burden. Odds of him dumping "to make a point"?

+1.  BTW I grew to like the name Boolberry.  However it is more easy to imagine Rings in the #3 spot (after BTC and NXT).

I do have an idea for a totally different way of implementing Keccak on GPU than what's been done so far; dunno if it'll work, though, or if it'll be faster if it does.

Regardless of if it'll be faster (or even if it'll work) or not, this Darwinian process sounds exciting!
