I am Japanese. In Japan, more people invest in virtual currency. However, there is no one who knows about karma coins. I think that it would be better to become a pioneer of karmic coin in Japan.

By the way, you still have MintPal's Karma wallet in your possession, right? How many coins does it have in it? 7 billion or something? What's the address?
Do you have a plan for that?
yes i have it. the plan was to return %92 of them to each user in there. emails were sent. many times. over a period of a year or more most was claimed. the rest was suppose be decided if either distribute the rest back to the users for %100 back & burn the coins, or burn the coins and leave it at %92. Since the momentum has died out and i rarely get any emails or users care to come here. i will most likely burn them Good to know, and thank you for looking after them. What's the address? Or one of the addresses? We could probably use them for development, since they are a valuable resource. Then Karma could benefit as a whole. What does everyone else think? At 1 satoshi the 6.6 billion coins are worth $181,00 in BTC right now. At 5 satoshis, $955,000. Of course, we wouldn't sell many of them, or all at the same time, but this just puts it into perspective. Karma could do amazing things with it. @bitwho I was looking for some kind of transparency report for the coins but couldn't find it. Can you paste it here? Like... Recovered Mintpal CoinsInitial number of coins: xxxxxxx Karma Address: xxxxxxx Number of users who claimed: xx Number of claimed coins: xxxxxxx Current value: xxxxxxxx or something like that... That way, the Karma community will know the state of the Karma coins. Any ideas on the above, Bitwho?

Welcome to the community. I actually used to live in Japan and noticed there are many different kinds of payment methods. (Although finding an ATM can be quite difficult, which is strange because so many people use cash only.) I am glad that cryptocurrency is finally taking off in Japan. May I ask, how did you hear about Karma? Also, what is 'karma' in Japanese and how does it translate? thanks!

I don't have much faith in Yobit. I read about too many issues, which reminded me of the clouds circling Mt. Gox, Cryptsy, and a couple of other exchanges before they fell. Not to say that Yobit will fall, but I don't see the logic of their management style. What we need to do, perhaps, is focus our efforts to get on Poloniex. This will re-introduce Karma to more people and also rebuild confidence in Karma and its future. Needs: 1) Announcement page: this one, if Bitwho provides access. If not, then a new one will be created. Check!2) Working wallet: needs some changes, but it's good enough for now. Check!3) Block explorer: more can be added in future. Check!4) Unique value proposition: Karma is "The Blockchain of Kindness". Karma allows people to give thanks to others in a meaningful way. Also, I think we should change our ticker symbol from "KARM" to "KARMA". It is an obvious change. (In 2014, ticker symbols were mostly limited to 4 characters or less.) I've created a Discord channel to talk about these things. Please join me: https://discord.gg/reQQ5VS(Discord is like Slack, but I think it's more intuitive and easier to follow conversations. Even though it's meant for gamers, it would be a good way to communicate.)

Agreed. And let's not forget about China, which is a major Bitcoin (and altcoin) supporter.

I'd like to, but that depends on whether or not all/most the pieces would be in place for me to be as effective as I'd like to be. Also, I am weighing the personal risks of being involved with a cryptocurrency on the management side. There are benefits to being anonymous, and benefits to having your name on the website. But I don't want to have a situation like last time where some people got upset because they didn't get their way. The world of altcoins really is the Wild West, so caution is needed. Maybe it doesn't matter to most (since they wouldn't have anything to worry about) but it's a consideration for me. Also, here are some outstanding issues regarding the currency itself. 1) MintPal coins. (waiting for Bitwho's information) 2) KTN (I think we will have some news soon. Talking with East now.) 3) Cryptsy wallet. Probably lost. Could also be a lost corrupted file. It could also be that someone now has lots of Karma and is waiting for a dump. 4) Exchanges: We need a bigger exchange, and I think this can happen in the next 2-4 weeks depending on our efforts. What are your thoughts?

I don't have dealings with them, so don't know how they operate. I also don't know why their wallet is 'in maintenance'. Hopefully these problems will be resolved soon enough. But it's important to note that Karma exists independently from YoBit and doesn't depend on it, though for now it is the main place where Karma is traded. We'll see what the next few days holds.

What are your thoughts? Is there any summary of how many coins are located on each exchange? From the MintPal and Cryptsy wallets? For MintPal, bitwho has that information and I'm waiting for him to provide it here. For Cryptsy, the party who recovered it unwittingly gave it to someone who isn't involved with Karma. That wallet has been lost, I believe, and no one knows how many coins were in it. Also I think that there should be a new thread so a new community can be built from the ground, instead of mixing the old posts with this new wave.
Agreed, but I still want to change the first post of this thread and lock it, etc. Otherwise we run into a situation like where the person with the Cryptsy wallet went to the old thread looking to give us back the wallet, but no one here saw the message.

Okay thanks. Hopefully we will hear something back from them Actually I just looked you don't have to pay, true there is a 0.2 BTC plan but they have a free plan to update wallet. It's jut probably slower but you won't loose your coins and right now you can get them at 1 SAT because of that! Once they fix the wallet you can probalby make 500% or more depending how well the DEV do with the coin. But it's a risk I have to admit. Good luck!

Kosmost, there is a real danger regarding the wallet from cryptsy. It would be a real disaster if we start to invest real money in this coins and out of the blue somebody will dump.
As I can see there are 2 ways - either you and the karma community will continue with this coin trying to do it's best or it could start a new coin Karma V2, with an ICO or not, only in order to pay a competent dev, thus I would rather appreciate if the dev would really be direct implicated in the community.

So it was a coincidence that I learned about karuma coin. Karma in Japanese has the meaning of what gose around comes around. It is an important deep word for us.
