If you have an idea that you know how to make happen regarding the promotion and advancement of DMD, but need funds to achieve it, let the foundation and community know. We, the community, will fund projects, but many of us are time poor or lack technical savvy to achieve things.

You would need to keep us in the loop and manage the project, but if you are serious about assisting DMD and can provide details of funding required, put it to us and we will see what can be done.

ROI projects are the only way to get people to donate to projects for a certain coin.

Quick easy example could be..

A gambling game that accept only DMD.... something really nice addictive game with nice graphics

The game would cost X to develop

The game would cost X to run (just server cost if everything was automated)

The game would take X % (like 10%) from the pot before payout.

That 10% would be divided to ROI investors only.



Games, Gambling, APPs anything really that could be diamond related.

Perhaps Diamond can start teaming up with hyper and other games related coins.

Or how about a very useful app?

The getgemz app looks rather useful.


A temple run game where people collect diamonds and high scorers are recorded on a website and are awarded prizes could be awesome.

Basically anything can be turned into an ROI project but we would need to get enough people interested to fund a decent size project that has any chance of returns. Also a good escrow holder for the coins.

You can also have a project manager that gets a % of the returns for completion of successful projects.

right click on Diamond.exe
1.  lower priority to below normal
2. select Affinity and change to use one cpu instead of all

I actually combined all of my coins last night because of the CPU usage.  I don't think it is an end of the world thing, but as the blocks got smaller and smaller my CPU usage increased crazily.  I have a gaming rig, and it was starting to effect the games I was playing.  I thought about it for a long while and it seems worth it to combine everything together and just lose one 9 day cycle instead of grinding.  Before that I had about a hundred blocks trying to stake all the time.

Those are all good suggestions.  I have a lot of small groups of coins constantly staking.  My CPU runs at 26% on the DMD wallet alone. I will consider some of these options.  Thank you.  -pokeytex

basical changing process priority
so if u game u have no performance loss
or even limit max cpu time for the process

but basical dmd only use one core so a quadcore cpu leave u always 3 unaffected cores

before everyone start combining coins keep in mind dmd wallet do that on its own
and competing coin piles for pos is what secure our network

if u leave u wallet untouched u will settle somewhere
ur amount of coins divided by 10 coin pile

so if ya own 10000 dmd and run a 24/7 wallet average 1000 coin piles is normal and healthy

if u run u wallet just a few days a month it will be less and u will see more automated group stake merges
(because more coins mint after 30 days age )

One addictive gambling game with 10% rake back can provide huge ROI for investors

Anything that can generate % revenue can be an ROI project.

All you need is investors, project manager and escrows. Depends on community size and wealth what projects can be attempted. Start small first.

I think that gaming idea is a good one. What we would need is a developer who accepts a payment in DMD.
A well done Texas Hold'em, Black Jack or Roulette App for Android, with DMD as it's base currency is something that could easily bring some new investors.

Ive been usnig that for a while now, normally generating about 1 DMD per day, but lately it's not been producing. Im assuming this is because of a reduced demand for lyra2.
Since I have never been able to mine DMD using my R9-280x cards, CPU mining has been my only option. Yet since that now is also producing next to nothing, im looking for other options to mine DMD.
Suggestions (of a non cynical nature) welcome...

PS, I would appreciate a link to a website which details where we are in the blockchain and POS percentages. Mainly looking for when to expect the halving and POS reductions.

Maybe you do not know, but there is a site where you can see quite voluminous information about Diamond.
For example the number of coins is produced per day https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dmd/#!overview
Knowing this, you can easily calculate the time to reduce the award.
when subtracted from the total amount the mining coins, the average value DMD is produced per day.

Thanks, I appreciate the info, but I was aware of this already. I was wondering if there was something which showed our "actual" status rather than the "projected" timeframe.
It appears as the "projection" is for the POS to be cut in half by the end of this year, I was wondering if that was still accurate, and where I could find the current status.
