a hint for regulary reader of our ANN thread
wallet 2.1 release will be in a few days

and together with the release we will have a interesting promotion
where to take advantage of it u need to have at least 1000 DMD

maybe if u not there yet it time now to gather at least 1000 DMD

before we release the promotion details over multiple channels

which could in fact create some competition for cheap DMD

Has there been any decision when to release merge mining?

merge mining was removed from DMD 2.1 content
since it was clear that it would make no more sense at DMD 3.0 release

not worth the effort for just a half year

Ahh ok. Thats when PoW ends?

I've got a strange feeling, at first, question about 24/7 active wallets... The next announce was about 1000 DMD minimum amount to get some bonuses  Wink
It's weird, but I smell some kind of masternode implementation here...

I thought you said the wallet would be released last weekend?
May 9th fork.
Obviously that is not going to happen.
May 9th fork is a bust correct?
Is that why we need to add another bell or is this one a whistle?
Ding Ding! Lol.
Your consistent I'll give you that.

Wallet 2.1 runs already on mainnet used by Beta testers
minor bug i did see is we didnt update on network visible clientversion thats why explorer still show no new clientversions

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dmd/#!network

but some of that 2.0.5.7 are in fact already 2.1.0.0 Beta wallets

Ahh ok. Sorry been trying to piece together the changes that are going on. It was also mentioned previously that you'd be going to put the algo back to the standard groestl as well... is or did that happen?

we did canceled  that together with merge mining

but in fact that code part would be rdy and tested

but i see no sense to activate it

every miner would have to adapt his setting and any pool too

and the only one who could like it are profitbased multipool

who then could switch hashrate between GRS and DMD

which in fact just create more hashrate fluctuations

when a multipool jump between two coins every few blocks

additional profitbased multipools do instant sell the mined DMD

so creating guarantee sellpressure

while actual miners we have now most are gathering coins to store and stake them

mining at pool u can always
if u want solo mining there is no change between actual and new wallet for u

also POS nothing change for normal addresses

so no need to wait

when we release new wallet u replace with the new exe thats all u need to do

Should those 1000 DMD be in one coin pile? I switched to 24/7 minting and my coin piles are now broken into smaller ones /around 100 DMD/ If I have to make payment to myself to join them into 1000 DMD piles, I'll lose coinage.

I'm 90% sure that the 1000 DMD shouldn't be in a single coin pile.
Anyway, it's exciting to see what's this promotion all about... until then we should gather 1000 coins. I'm sure it will worth it Smiley

what is ur opionion to block time versus blockchain size and synctime

u would love a smaller chain and faster sync and accept slower blocktime?

we run now average 52sec blocktime
one of the fastest coins

but i have to say from my perspective we see not much advantage to be faster than others
beside faster raise of blockchain size and longer sync times for people who open wallet just once every 14 days

i full agree 10 min blocktime like bitcoin have is stoneage

what u think would be a good blocktime and keep in mind slower is always more slim chain and faster sync time

52 sec (like now)
100 sec
150 sec (like LTC)
300 sec
600 sec (like BTC)

I thought than quicker confirmation of blocks the better. for the buyer in the store (I hope it will happen in the future) fast speed of operation is a plus.
in my opinion the best option 60 seconds.

but for those who do not want to download the entire blockchain add wallet option "prune" as is done in Bitcoin wallet.

tell me how relevant conf file for the new version of the wallet?
I have:

Hi.
As far as my knowledge is not required diamond.conf file for the new version of the wallet 2.1 (unless of course you are the owner of one of the 10 legendary addresses)
