It takes ~3Gb space on your HDD.

u can change it as a startup parameter

example
diamond-qt-2104.exe -datadir=D:\diamond\data

to start wallet with parameter just create a link
then edit the link (properties) and add the parameter in the target field
then save the link

when u start dmd diamond with that link the custom datadir is used
keep in mind that wallet.dat then is used from that location too
