A DMD masternode can be expensive at 10k DMD to run a masternode however like some have suggested we can stake and make a good return on our DMD.
In order to get the maximum amount of activity points possible, you just need to post once per day on average. Skipping days is OK as long as you maintain the average.

I am getting a lot of Orphan Blocks. Anyone have a good DMD config file? Not sure if it would help but I should try it.

Are you sure you are on the right blockchain? There was a fork a few days ago.

Upgrade your wallet to the latest 3.0.1.1 and add this conf file:

Code:
rpcuser=???
rpcpassword=Some_LONG_AND_Stupid_PASSWORD
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
logtimestamps=1
maxconnections=50
port=9999
masternode=1
masternodeprivkey=your key
externalip=your settings
onion=127.0.0.1:9150
discover=0
bantime=3600

I'm running a masternode, staking with 40+ steady connections and no orphans.

Hard to believe it's already cake baking time for DMD Diamond!

I'll have to see if my kiddos want to participate again this year. We have a really busy summer, so not sure if it will pan out.

I have a feeling the competition will be stiff. Good luck to all!

I am just POS right now. I upgraded to the new wallet. All I really put in the config is the nodes.

With current components in Diamond network, I think that you should only stake your coins if you have high amount of Diamond.
It's un-profitable to stake with small amount of Diamond coins in wallet because both difficutly of network and total active masternodes in Diamond network.

Not everything that seems good at the beginning is good in the long run. We had to evolve in order to reflect the needs of the contemporary market. With the old specification the coin would stop working just after several years while with the improved mechanics it will last at least several decades.

Diamond Coin from the start has been based on the premise of fairness. With the latest update, we as developers, did our best to make sure everyone could have their fair chance to participate in coin distribution.  Crypto community as a whole has expressed their concern to the arrival of ASICs that pose threat to fair and wide distribution of coins. We’ve heard your voices and acted upon.

We have decided to change algorithm from Skrypt to Grøstl which is ASIC resistant and much more power efficient solution. This important change will be particularly appreciated by the ordinary miners who will notice significant reduction in power draw and generated heat associated with mining.

Just be patient and let it sync the full blockchain. It might take a few hours but it will eventually get there.

I have been running a DMD wallet a year, and I have never had problems with the synchronization.
for the last four days, I restarted, rescanned it countless times, and it still standing at:
Curent number of block 176530

it is possible that the synchronization stops totally for five days?
I'm exaggerating not five, three....

There was an attack on the network and it caused a fork on the blockchain a few days ago. You might be on the wrong chain...

I was on the wrong chain for a couple days myself. Luckily I always have a copy of my data folder just two or three weeks old so it's easy for me to get back on track.

If everything else fails, just start syncing from the beginning with the latest wallet. And then, as soon as you're done, close the wallet and make a backup of your data folder!

good - I'm in root-data-dmd
which directories / files do I delete and which can I keep?
if i like just download the blockchain again

which directories you just need to back up, or the entire directories "data"?
