Oh joy... another BC clone coin gone wrong. Unlike WC, there are no blocks being found with OC. Way to go, dev!

I will release a small patch tonight to correct the issue.  Thanks for the support.

I guess I could take  a week like Whitecoin but a patch in under 24hrs is how I roll.

lol I'm surprised it took this long for a troll to find us Wink lol we've been lucky.

great stuff so far OC

I have prepped the POS weight patch and will test when home. You can view it here https://github.com/Orangecoins/Orangecoin/tree/Patch (Do Not install or build)

I will make the POS  patch the priority. We can and dont want to fall back increasing the POW if I can avoid it.

I will run both patches to see which has the more stable and reliable outcome. Either way we should start moving blocks as soon as I release the patch. 10 hrs max more likely about 8 hrs away though.

I cannot do soloming cause I use bamt.

Does it bring s.th.  to the network  when I will reenter in the pool?

I have 2 options. Extend the mining POW for a little longer until POS takes over naturally or decrease the stake age and induce pos.

Interested in hearing thoughts as both patches can be done rather quickly.

Decrease the stake age and induce POS. I, personnaly, think it would be better and more logical.

Ok I agree. It brings more confusion with POW phase again.

I think faster stake maturity would be be a huge draw for people. like 2 or 3 days even

dev, you need 'afterhours' pow to secure the blockchain, 100% totally pure PoS coins have flaws in security. I have discussed with FLT dev already. PoW needs to continue indefinitely. If you look at WC or BC, they still run PoW. WC pays 10 WC as incentive, thats 9600WC/day still mineable. BC doesn't pay anything, but has PoW difficulty over 200.

Faster stake maturity will help keep network secure if you decide to go 100% pure PoS, but while people are waiting for coins to mature, this creates a 'hole' in security if no one on network has staked, by chance - even in future.

Heard just from an other dev

" It is never the community which lets a coin down, it is always the dev "

I am happy to announce the OrangeCoin dev orangecoin has been from the begining all time respondible and has handled issus just perfect in time.

Really great guy with skills that many devs dont have.

I am gratful to be here in the beginning days on board Grin

There were warnings not to move coins yet, although any coins moved between block 10000 and 9650 could be affected due to confirms and stalled blockchain. Once block chain starts moving, you'll be fine.
