Deleting the contents means deleting everything including the wallets. I understand to back up but are we to delete everything?
The preceding question was brought to you by the resident computer idiot.
The wallet it is not stored in there. It is, where the simplewallet.exe is (it is the .keys file). Alternatively, you can use the Mnemonic Seed words to restore it.

First make sure the daemon is all synched up. Then run simplewallet with the flag --restore-deterministic-wallet Once your wallet is restored you may need to refresh or rescan the blockchain depending. Thats from memory. If I didn't get all the details right I'm sure I atleast pointed you in the right direction. Remember you can almost always run a CLI application with the flag --help for help.

Can anyone give me some free monero ? Never seen or came across monero faucets, if anyone know better to have them listed here to grab few monero. As monero seem to be capable of making same history as bitcoin over few years. back in 2014 when monero was born there was a user on here ... thefunkybits maybe? who was giving way XMR for twitter tweets and such, but that's all I have ever seen. Now monero is going to be a powerful altcoin and they have got a good fame so now they do not need to distribute free monero for their promotion and any other service for the project etc.

I'm not too good with words, so here it is: https://getmonero.org/knowledge-base/user-guides/restore_accounttanx for that , that is what i need

Crosspost: Awesome! And the below seems to be an important detail: Updating: Blockchain Conversion
Due to the space savings and performance gains it is again highly recommended that you delete the contents of your Monero working directory and sync from scratch. This directory can be found in ~/.bitmonero on Linux and OS X, and on Windows in \Users\username\AppData\Roaming\bitmonero or \ProgramData\bitmonero. Deleting the contents means deleting everything including the wallets. I understand to back up but are we to delete everything? The preceding question was brought to you by the resident computer idiot. Working directory is just where the blockchain is located. You can just copy your wallet files over to the new folder which contains the 0.10 version.

That is so strange. I never would have even guessed there were two standards so similar to each other floating around. This seems dumb. This community should probably just settle on a standard. I may have just done an hours worth of tedious work for nothing.
