Hello everybody, This is my first post here in bitcointalk (but i have been following it for some times now ..). As I really love monero, i decided to start my involvement in it by setting up a pool. Fees are 0% ! The pool is hosted on an 8-core dedicated VPS, hosted in France and is available to this address : http://monero.chickenkiller.comThanks to everybody for helping me launching the pool See ya ! Edit : template and adding pool location Can anyone explain this odd discrepancy (my first three hashes submitted to monero.chickenkiller.com:8080)? One screenshot shows the sharediff - the other your total amount of hashes. They have nothing todo with each other.

Total Hashes submitted are Your Hash Rate * seconds you were mining. But that hash rate jumps up and down a lot. At least to me. Bot on IRC did not give me answer how much you could mine with your 26 hash/s per day, but i found when i answered one in this thread before. "With 175 H/s you should get 1.19 MRO per Day"

No, the calculation is Total hashes submitted = Total value of all shares submitted to the pool with that address

Hello, I'm glad to finally be a part of the beginnings of Monero. I see huge potential, and can't wait for it to be fully unleashed! Mintpal voting here I come: https://www.mintpal.com/voting#XMR

Hmm strange, not long ago Mintpal repeatly denied to have XMR on voting list just because of totally new protocol. Does this mean their platform is technically ready for CryptoNote now ?
Btw i don't like the part "Vote on Mintpal" of new title, it sounds like a random pump and dump coin. I love the old title "A anonymous currency based on ring signatures" - it look more professional and unique.

Probably not, or else they would just add it immediately.. Btw i don't like the part "Vote on Mintpal" of new title, it sounds like a random pump and dump coin. I love the old title "A anonymous currency based on ring signatures" - it look more professional and unique.
Yeah, we don't need that in the title..

If Poloniex and Bittrex have it, I'm not sure why Mintpal( a much bigger and widely known exchange) couldn't add it as well.

But these exchanges have problem on making Monero work correctly, automatic withdrawals occasionally fail. I think exchanges want new API, something similar to Bitcoin Payment Protocol for CryptoNote. p.s: some Monero investors are so generous, 2 transactions worth of 0.35 BTC was sent to Mintpal voting address.

For example if 556.44 XMR are sent, the protocol will break it down into 500 + 50 + 6 + 0.4 + 0.04 Why does monero split amounts to power of 10? Why not power of 2? Are there any differences or trade offs in using different bases for this process?

Mintpal voting here I come: https://www.mintpal.com/voting#XMR151 votes, we are almost in the middle of the list now. is this bs really neccessary? - I mean seriously how do all these sh..coins get so many votes? maybe monero should wait until mintpal adds them by themselves I also think it is not neccessary to get this in the title
