I am comparing coins, not advertising. I provide links, facts, ideas, opinions. This forum should be about this, not about one bullshit sentence like yours saying nothing useful.
All the people here are already awared of BBR, many of us (including me) also hold some BBR from very early, so your advertisement is pointless. The problem with BBR right now is it's being exploited by private GPU miners. Christian might be the not only one who have this optimized miner because he said the coding is not hard. And these guys don't just run it in one server, they're running optimized miners on hundreds of Amazon instances and hence dominate network hash rate. I've been want to buy some more BBR but not this time, not until a GPU miner is released to the public. I agree, bool berry is being demolished by those with gpu's with their private closed sourced miner and it's largely unfair. I also do not like it (the not-open-sorce miner), but it is not such a big issue as presented. If you read discussion inn BBR thread with Christian (supposed owner of such a miner), it seems, the profit is not very high, despite he/they mines lots of coins (there are many costs which needs to be included). Someone else has mentioned that it is more profitable to mine by CPU from work or university where you do not pay for electricity. I believe it. Moreover all CPU mined coins are mined but botnets. This is unfair. Botnet hackers are real thieves which have no other intention than quick profit. All coins need to face centralization in mining and ownership. Even with bitcoin it is big issue. I am sure that also XMR has some superwhales and gigantic miners (botnet owners, CPUfarms,...). Since cryptonote coins are truly anonymous, it is even more difficult to find how they are distributed.

As CN supporter (holding 0 BBR and x000 XMR) I am still happy with any success BBR gonna have.

The presented issue has not been current profitability. The issue lies in the fact that christian has openly claimed that he is mining with over 50% of the mining votes. Christian is many things, but does not have a reason to lie to you or make unfounded claims. You are belittling the situation by claiming that it's not a big issue. Christian also has the stated ability to hold onto his coins, rather than sell that many per day. Moreover all CPU mined coins are mined but botnets. This is unfair. Botnet hackers are real thieves which have no other intention than quick profit.
This is not a cpu only coin, as we are now debating a monopoly of mining by GPU miners in all CN coins. I'm not following your logic. What statement are you trying to make? All coins need to face centralization in mining and ownership. Even with bitcoin it is big issue. I am sure that also XMR has some superwhales and gigantic miners (botnet owners, CPUfarms,...). Since cryptonote coins are truly anonymous, it is even more difficult to find how they are distributed.
Right now there's a very clear statement by a reputable source claiming to openly control over half of BBR net hash. That is not a delusion or an uncited source. This is fact. Anonymity does not even need to be addressed here. Did you purposely ignore my previous post to you here?

Awesome! Search youtube for "monero how-to", for a walkthrough on how to solo mine from the simplewallet. Really all you need to do is type "start_mining x" where x is the number of cores you'd like to use of your computer inside the simplewallet program.

You could solo CPU mine from the daemon: start_mining <your_address> <number_of_threads> You could mine on multiple machines with the same address.

^The problem was with old-code wallets not paying the right fees. If you updated from the OP you are fine. If the transaction is too big on size (dust inputs from the pools) the wallet will inform you and you should send a smaller amount.

- You can choose Bittrex exchange
- Volume for each exchange
Updates 2:- You can choose Bter exchange
- Total Volume also taken from exchanges and not only from coinmarketcap
- Refreshing one widget refreshes all widgets
- Bug Fixes
Download: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tr.monerostatusThe second update might not be already on google store, it takes a few hours for google to update... FYI, this issue with Poloniex is still not resolved: Yesterday I've withdrawn some XMR from Poloniex. The transaction was listed as "COMPLETE" quickly. However today, when checking my wallet (and after refresh), the funds are not there. And indeed the tx id that poloniex shows for this tx is unknown on http://monerochain.info. I just opened a ticket, but I wonder if somebody else encountered this? Currently, this failed withdrawal is still shown as "COMPLETE" in my account, with tx id 777d943c86acf4ee22f65505f71732f00152d0af3b1b5ff7194292d46de212d3, which does not exist in the blockchain. The answer 2 days ago to my ticket was: " Hi binaryfate, Okay, I will escalate your ticket to Tristan to resolve. Thank You and Warm Regards, Angela" I commented 1 day ago: " Any update? I'm in touch with other people that were in the same situation, they received their withdrawals by now. What about mine? I also have more to withdraw now. Please tell me asap if I can do it or if you are still resyncing. Thanks for the work on XMR by the way." I bought more later, and now I am scared to withdraw it that the same thing would happen. I am starting to worry a bit, between that amount that simply disappeared and the second amount I have now but cannot withdraw, this is very significant to me. Thought it was worthy for everyone to know, will update you. Poloniex finally fixed this. They said after a reindex of the poloniex wallet they found that indeed my coins have never left them. They have sent me everything by now.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's. This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

I've been playing with simplewallet.exe. Sometimes when I try to transfer monero from one wallet to another the client complains that the transaction is too large. When I try again it works. Is the transaction building logic not deterministic? I guess this comes down to the RNG? Why not try a few more in the event of the transaction being too large?
It's not deterministic, it's random and depending on the mixin count it will use other *random* inputs, so it's never going to be the same. What you're experiencing is definitely an interesting edge-case given your mix of inputs, most of the time no amount of fiddling with different inputs will get a transaction to fit:) If you haven't already, read this week's Monero Missive, as we show off transaction auto-splitting (which is also available for testing if you're able to compile Monero).

The wallet is not mempool aware at the moment, so if a tx falls out the mempool (no miners mine it because maybe it's malformed or has the wrong fee or whatever) then the wallet doesn't know that those outputs are now unspent. It's on our list of things to fix ASAP!

Do you need a few people who are VERY good programmers or would an amaetur programmer be able to do this ?

Good to hear you're on it, because it can be very confusing to anyone who doesn't know how things work, and annoying in any case! Today I got a lot of "COMPLETE: ERROR" from poloniex, even when sending in smaller chunks. I guess their wallet is too dusty because of small deposits. Fixing these two things is very important, as having something rock solid *at least for an exchange operator* is pretty much mandatory. For the second problem, is it the "auto split" of too big transactions that is going to help?

Also, any ideas why everytime I open my bitmonerod.exe, even though I synced last night, it resyncs blocks from like 2 or 3 days ago everytime? I thought it would have updated the blockchain already which will be saved to my computer ?

You really need to type 'save' or 'exit', instead of just closing bitmonerod. If you just close the window or control-C the heck of it, it will not save the blockchain state to disk -> so next time, syncs up all over again. Cheers, ~ Myagui
