Are you new to cryptos ?

It is called a weak hand shaking, it is part of the pump & dump process made by insiders.

The last few pages are all -

Oh shit dumppppp

If Monero has to succeed bla bla bla

Dont worry, buy more

It makes me think its all about the BTC, the higher the value goes, more BTC they get

It is a replay of the history of bitcoin, only 10x faster. Just as some btc traders bank in usd, some xmr traders bank in btc.  But those who had foresight and vision banked in btc.  Here likewise, those who understand the limitations and vulnerabilities of btc may prefer to bank their gains in xmr.  Recent events have actually made me, for example, richer in xmr than btc.  Even so, if I continue to make gains in xmr, the part moved to cold storage will be at least half xmr because not only does it hedge btc fungibility, it has more upside potential than btc at this point.

Same complaints, just a slightly more advanced system. (It is the particulars of the advance that distinguishes xmr from scamclones and also-rans.)

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day.  Give a man a Poisson distribution and he eats at random times independent of one another, at a constant known rate.

Seems like a good day to buy Monero...  Grin

Have to say, I'm new to these crypto-currency market. But if you believe in a coin, the lower the price, the more you buy, surely?

If it drops further, buy even more...

I like the odds of Monero being a major player in the long run. Hedged with some Darkcoin, seems the perfect play for now.

Monero added to Hitbtc voting. They've already started trading Doge because it won there.
It's a nice new exchange and I think Monero could carve through this voting list, because there's no strong competition between the parties.

By the way there is a cute post in hitbtc twitter lol

Yep i have voted . It looks like it has good volume and accepts only BTC, LTC and DOGE right now. We surely need more votes there!

This is all normal. Early investors just dumping. At the end of the day monero offers what all other bitcoin clones pretend to offer but fail and fall short. Its unique. There may be many pumps and many dumps. But at the end of the day monero is headed north long term.

Just a bump in the road boys.

News section on CryptoNote.org
We are happy to announce a news section on the cryptonote.org. The new section is dedicated to new developments, ideas and news from the CryptoNote realm. About two years ago the CryptoNote technology had only been represented by Bytecoin (BCN) but since then things have changed dramatically. Not only the number of Bytecoins has soared, the other coins such as Quazarcoin, Fantomcoin and Monero are taking the cryptocurrency world by storm. The CryptoNote community becomes very diverse and geographically disseminated therefore we believe it is our duty to spread the word and bring everyone at one place.  Just by clicking on the news tab you’ll have the latest account on what’s been going on with CryptoNote-based currencies along with fresh updates from the devs at hand. The idea is to turn this website into a vibrant pool of information accessible to anybody who wants to keep one's finger on the pulse of CryptoNote technology. If you are a CryptoNote enthusiast and you have some ideas worth sharing, please don’t hesitate to contact us at news@cryptonote.org

What order are the coins being listed on https://cryptonote.org/coins.php

It doesn't seem to be order of release, order of name, order of currency code.

So what is it?
