What is 'credible threat' and in what sense don't you trust XMR devs?
So your opinion is that if people can catch a virus because of mining your currency - it's not a developer's problem? Empty discussion. Show us a trojan or keep the FUD out, thanks. Guys it was a simple question of where the fuck can u get a gpu miner there is aknown ver that has a 5 % mines on an alt pool built into it etc if somebody can link a good ver etc that would be nice....lolz

Plenty of links in the OP. What qualifies as a 'good version' is largely subjective, so I'd advise you to use your best judgement. The OP is usually a good starting point for all things relating to a currency that you're not yet familiar with... The OP also has links to the missives that the team has posted so far, and I'd say that those are an absolute "must read" for anyone getting started with Monero. Cheers, ~ Myagui

You can use the --data-dir option to change where bitmonerod stores its .bin files, e.g. bitmonerod --data-dir d:/blockchain/

Currently donating all of our 1% pool fee to the dev fund - mine at CryptonotepoolUK and support XMR at no extra cost!

I just want to add, that Claymore now offers the option "-nofee" in his newest beta version

Claymore has developed several successful miners to date, including what is probably the most popular and successful one for Primecoin. It's incorrect to call it a "trojan", which implies a hidden payload that acts in a nefarious way. If you have nvidia cards, you can grab tsiv's ccminer fork that has cryptonight support and is completely open-source. See the cudaminer/ccminer thread for details and links.

I have a question about the deamon. What is IGD portmapping for ? Is it bad if my deamon says 'UPNP_AddPortMapping failed' ? I have this error message, but everything else seems to work fine.

Yeah, he is actually a hero member, and it makes me to trust him... and since now i do not trust XMR devs because of credible threat Account are sold. Lot of time. I even saw it happen. Plus, hero member means you are posting a lot, no more. Post "To da M00n" every page and you will be hero member in no time. Is there a way to change the blockchain.bin to another HDD or dir .... so i dont have to keep it on %APPDATA% and have to bloat my system hdd symlink. Google for some tools for your OS. Of course we should be a smart enough to keep our money safe, but i'm strongly believe that developers should also worried about their own consumers. Links are on the "unnofficial" section for a reason.

New M7u version of yam miner is available. Major addition in this release is support for many new coins - DVK,MYR,BCN,QCN,FCN and XMR. yam M7u supports FantomCoin CryptoNight merged mining of FCN-XMR, FCN-BCN and FCN-QCN - check readme.txt and default config for details. yam M7u has special algorithm variation for faster CryptoNight mining on AMD CPUs, resulting in 360+ H/s on AMD FX-8320 at stock freqs. Primary download location for yam M7u is https://t.co/whkQyh2XA2Alternative download location for yam M7u is http://t.co/A9c5GryPByChinese users may donwload yam M7u at http://t.co/qsWEtQEMhZEnjoy. Tried to download "sandy bridge" zip chrome blocked as malware. This is really confusing. You gotta work on manual/documentation.

I'm not sure, tbh. Maybe try to get some help in #monero-dev on freenode.

Problem with tsiv's miner : Zero manual/documentation First, ensure you have 64-bit windows, it is now necessary for Monero. Here I re-post instructions to migrate to 64-bit Monero: *WINDOWS USERS* (I think Linux users may do very very the same)
In case of any technical problem you have encountered with Monero:
0. Assume your 32-bit wallet file name is "wallet.bin" (adjust this instruction for other name accordingly) 1. Backup your wallet.bin.* files. 2. Delete ALL Monero files from your computer. 3. Download 64-bit Monero zip & blockchain.bin from 1st sticky page of this thread. 4. Unzip & place all the files downloaded above to the directory: "C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\bitmonero\". 5. From the backup made at step 1, place wallet.bin.* files !!! EXCEPT wallet.bin itself !!! into directory at step 4. 6. Start bitmonerod.exe and wait for it to sync with the net. 7. Start simplewallet by the commad prompt: "simplewallet --wallet-file wallet.bin" (!!! name of the file that must NOT exist in directory at step 4 !!!). 8. When you want to stop any monero executables - ALWAYS type "exit" & be patient.
simplewallet re-creates correct version of wallet.bin for you.
Since you migrate to 64-bit Monero by CORRECT WAY mentioned above - you will never have any problem except being patient due to Monero is currently somewhat slow.
Second, as for me, I've downloaded binaries of Tsiv miner itself from: http://cryptomining-blog.com/2897-new-ccminer-fork-with-cryptonight-support-now-available/(being too lazy to compile from source or to be paranoidal from trojans) - you simply extracts archive into any dir, than edit file XMR-START.bat, replacing pool address & your XMR wallet address, and run the .bat! Note, stable work is guaranteed for latest Nvidia GPUs only, I prefer 750 Ti. Note also, it is not recommended to simultaneously work as user on a comp you mine for.

I actually think, but this is restricted to miners software only, not the main Monero executables, there is ENOUGH info for smart person to start mining. If you are not familiar with mining, may be it is not for you? For example, as for me, I had more profit from exchange trading than mining.
