Yep, I messaged them, I think they're offline. I can't work out how to view which blocks you found...tells me I found 6 but doesn't say which 6 they were anywhere I can see.

does that change at some point? I only use the daemon, not the qt wallet. I think I saw some coins moving from the balance to "stake" once, and then moving back to the balance.

from what I read elsewhere, the odd of minting might also depends on the weight on your own stack compared to the total amount of coins (or something like that).
Actually to increase minting odds, I send all the coin to one single address. It seems to work (however I also received small minted block of 40JPC which seems to belong to some hashharder payout...).

yes, my coins from the pool also go to a single address. I just wonder why both numbers show 0. Do the coins generated by PoS show up on "newmint"? and do they stay there?

Surely this doesn't matter if your wallet is open and contains all your coin addresses ?

0.01% of 1 big balance is the same as 0.01% of lots of smaller balances as long as they add up to the same amount.

The problem with the QT client is that it tricks you into thinking they're all in one address when in fact they may not be. As soon as you send even 1000 JPC out of your wallet the balance of your account will be sent to change addresses and will no longer be in the place you originally sent it to.

You need to use block explorer all the time to verify where they are (or do an address dump from the command line).

We need the OP to update the list of Pools info with some facts on how the pool(s) will handle themselves.
They need to state publicly on the record what they will do when a pot is found on their pool.
For example i am on Cloudminers and i have no idea what would happen..

and more importantly is even if they stated what would happen here it's going to get buried and some pages back fast..
So i think the best place would be on the OP's fist post to inform us all what the various pool(s) policy is on the Jackpot.
It should be a deciding factor on what pool we to choose to use..

Maybe wallet address would be better to open.

Actually I haven't distributed yet. Since it's new kind of payout, it's not handled automatically by MPOS.
Currently, I have to do it manually and carefully for the first time. It will not take too long, just about 1~2 hours.

It will be handled automatically later.

I have been mining JPC at miningpoolhub.com for the last day or so. I have been curious about hitting the jackpot, but then the realization hit me that I wasn't mining for a few minutes while I rendered the coin image I posted for the logo contested. The first jackpot was found 9 minutes after I made the post on page 54. I just checked the round info for Block 26550, and boom! there I am in green in the middle of the list of only 50 miners with a share. Nothing like a jackpot, even a few hundred coins, to hook someone.

I have mined bitcoin, litecoin, doge, aurora, smartcoin, digicoin, panda, riecoin, heavy, max, groestl, myriad, ultracoin, microcoin, yac, fedora, corgi, beatle, and who knows how many scrypt coins at middlepool, etc.

Jackpot coin is the most exciting coin I have mined. It seems the fastest for transactions, it is interesting for miners, and it has such great potential. I made a tidy sum of btc on max, but only because I sold it as I mined it. JPC is the first coin since bitcoin that I am holding for the future. I want to congratulate the developers for a truly novel, efficient and fun coin!

I was exaggerating it is 6 days (actually two weeks is before the ipo get dumped...) apparently not,
2 weeks might really be validation time for new coins (the difficulty is pretty high...)
my last block has 4835 confirmations and will confirm in 5200 or so more blocks (or 3 more days)...

Wallet is probably enough. I think transparency is important for this first jackpot to build trust, so people need to know it got paid, I joined your (excellent) pool because of your 50/50 split on the jackpot policy I think it's really great. When people see you make good on your word surely more are going to want to join the pool, I'll certainly recommend you guys.

As an aside...for some reason on that block I got 50% rejects! Normally I have 2-3% (check it out username same as forum name)...bit gutted about that, but I guess that's the luck of the draw. Do you think PPLNS should have any application to the pool jackpot payout split (not the winner's obviously) or are you just going solely on that round?
