Heh, I'd like to try out otila new CPU miner, but the download is a .bin file. I tried uncompressing the file but it didn't work for me. I'm a non-computer programmer.

You don't need to uncompress it. Did you try to just execute it?  Shocked

Oh thx Spoenik, ya the file name is (cpuminer-otila-x86_64_linux-20140504.bin), no wonder I couldn't figure out what to do with it Smiley

Cool Spoenik, thanks for updating your version, I'll try it now Smiley

it's a Linux .exe i think eh.. (an elf file not coff) i'm guessing i never did download it.
so its not usable on anything but Linux and it can not be unpacked in any way.

I recently got my jackpot bonus payout also Smiley.  I only had a single 750ti hashing around 3.1Mhs over there. Wasn't able to get my CPUs to work over there yet. My bonus payout was approximately 92,667 JPC. (I'm not sure what my share was during that round though).

Thanks miningpoolhub operators! Smiley

I just got the jackpot bonus payout for the first jackpot block 26550 from jackpotcoin.miningpoolhub.com. I was less than 1% of the pool hashes, so it wasn't significant, but the pool operator did pay out, and it was a little more than I had calculated based purely on my round shares. Thank you!

Smiley

Thank you for mining with us
Single ti 750 again , shares round - Credit    64   0.08   71.93750400
Bonus 45,451.05145200
Thanks

I got the payment today. approx. 5% of 50% of the jackpot. Not bad but I wonder whether the winner will dump his 50% jackpot to the exchange now? It will keep the price down for at least 33% as it now.

Sellwalls mounting.

Miners starting to dump. Bid-ask spread has now closed to 1 Sat but no new buy orders for 12 hours and all exchange traders are waiting for each other to blink first.

Nobody knows about this amazing new coin.

Spoetnik's [FACT] promo which poped up on the bitcointalk top 20 radar for a day has now sunk beneath the waves & blockexplorer still crashed.

Need some promo. I've contacted Mintpal and asked them to put it on the voting list.

4. About gpu mapping... I'm asking about that almost up from the beginning XD I've tried to change it according to sgminer readme, but combination like --gpu-map 0:1, --gpu-map 0:2, --gpu-map 0:3, or --gpu-map 0:4 just don't work for me. I thought that you ppl would give me some advices according to the pic of mapping i've gaved Cheesy
6. Yea, I've tried running with "device" (-d 0) command and then "--gpu-map" but all time fails.

And one more thing came to my mind - I've read somewhere that "--no-adl" sometimes helps. It disables ATI display library used for monitoring and setting GPU parameters. You will not see GPU temp and fan speed, but sometimes it makes easier to manually map graphics cards.
Also:
Code:
-d <arg>   Select device to use, one value, range and/or comma separated (e.g. 0-2,4) default: all
Is your 6770m really device 0? Have you tried another values?

Edit: I would also try to play with
Code:
--gpu-reorder       Attempt to reorder GPU devices according to PCI Bus ID

The --gpu-reorder didn't helped. About the -d (device) ... yes according to the pic i've past i got only one platform stated 0 and only one device, same stated 0. Tried other values, just for checking, all time msg "no connected device". The "--no-adl" command helped in some way. It disables the monitoring infos (temp, fan speeds etc.) so now I don't get infos about problems with hardware monitoring. Now the problem shorted only to the same what the other member of this forum has:

I managed to pool mine 10 JPC with one of my old CPU's (Core Duo 1.6Ghz) Tongue So now I have 10 JPC, that's all. Wink

I didn't manage to get GPU-miner working, I got error -43 all the time:

[0:38:42] Kernel JackPotCoin(AdvSHA3) is experimental.
[0:38:42] Error -43: Building Program (clBuildProgram)
[0:38:42] ^T
[0:38:42] Failed to init GPU thread 0, disabling device 0
[0:38:42] Restarting the GPU from the menu will not fix this.
[0:38:42] Try restarting sgminer.

So it seems like it would be the trouble with building program / initialising GPU's. As I mentioned earlier, I had no such a problems with diffrent kernels and diffrent miners. I thought it could be connected with app sdk version, but i've tried 2.7, 2.8, 2.8.1 and finally 2.9 (all time after using amd_cleanup_util_1.2.1.0) and nothing changed.

@Spoetnik gpu mapping only helps with adl functions, which I don't need to be run. All I try is just to run that fckn miner, even without hardware monitoring settings  Grin As I wrote earlier I've changed switchable graphic directly to fixed mode, so now only the amd gpu is used. (short forum art bout that http://forum.notebookreview.com/hp-pavilion-notebooks/599746-overclocking-radeon-6770m-dv6t-61xx.html ) I know that i'm fighting for almost nothing (comparing to the hashrate it would give me) but I'm a selflearner and idealist who always tries to solve the problems that are standing on his way Wink

About my wallet synchronizing problem. Here's and advice to all who'd have the same. If decompressing latest wallet and just running jackpotcoin-qt.exe don't allow you to get your wallet synchronized do like that:
1. Use notepad to prepare JackpotCoin.conf stated at 1st page of this topic.
Quote
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
rpcallowip=*
rpcport=15372
listen=1
daemon=1
server=1
logtimestamps=1
maxconnections=100
addnode=90.155.222.162
addnode=66.176.62.63
addnode=93.233.79.195
addnode=98.193.2.154
addnode=5.250.177.28
addnode=24.13.164.246
addnode=74.90.54.187
addnode=76.168.111.3
addnode=110.255.149.5
addnode=85.102.226.187
addnode=46.39.240.53
addnode=154.20.19.46
addnode=186.59.181.76
addnode=74.33.230.204
addnode=107.202.133.56
addnode=75.150.145.65
2. Follow the directions for selfminers stated there:
Quote
6. Type the following command into Run field and Press OK
   %appdata%/JackpotCoin
7. JackpotCoin's data folder is now opened
8. Copy "JackpotCoin.conf" provided in the downloaded archive to the data folder
9. Run Jackpotcoint-qt.exe again

After synchronizing you can just delete the conf file, cause peers.dat and other files are properly fulfilled ^^

Have a nice mining day.
Now I'm waiting for resolve of Error -43 problem, or just for another (maybe cg) gpu miner Smiley

Dev, you should make a chronicle of all Jackpots that have been paid out, where they ended up (pool, wallet etc), how many days it took to release them etc. It will be a good promotion tool for everyone who will be introduced to JPC in the future, so that they can see the history. Show them all the great opportunities they missed Smiley

Wow! That's an awesome idea! Maybe put it on the web site and a link from the OP.
Somehow it is a pity that the Jackpot can never grow beyond 90,000,000, we can never beat the record. With other Jackpots/Lottos there is always the chance to beat the record. Is it possible to make some sort of addition? Just 90,000,001 would be good, just so JPC can say that the Jackpot record was broken. Maybe a Jackpot bounty? Three months from now, another 90 mil just won't be as exciting as the first one, even if the value increases.
If it is not possible then this is something for any clone-developer to keep in mind. It's a better marketing strategy in the long run.
(did the guy actually quote himself...?!)

OK, here is another coin image proposal, this time with a full icon set for major operating systems (Linux, Windows, Mac OSX, iOS 6, iOS7, android & Windows phone). The graphic is recognizable and distinctive at all sizes, and it has good contrast on light or dark backgrounds.

The full set is here. Just in case, my JPC wallet address is JRhV4K3cVSB2UkCavpi2ahPYVdVdQuT3tN  Cheesy

32x32
512x512

Not bad. May need some refinement, but we'll keep it as our potential winner if there's no better entry.
Also, would you be able to create a consistent icon set for the wallet?

how do I get my interest on the jpc ?

1. move your coin from pool to your wallet,
2. keep running your wallet,
3. just wait

^^

P.S : do not lock wallet, if you worry about unlock wallet, just unlock when you PoS mining, you can do it every week or every month..

ok, i have to ask again, since it seems I still don't get it:

Code:
"newmint" : 0.00000000,
"stake" : 0.00000000,

How can I tell, that PoS works for me correctly, when I only have the daemon running? I checked the last transactions, and I only see the normal payouts from the pool I'm mining with.
When coins are generated through PoS, should they show up on "newmint"? How can I check the coinage using the daemon? Why are both values always 0 for me? I'm mining since nearly three days,
so there should be some PoS actions already have happened.
