I have some very old coins I mined months ago, and some coins from a few days ago, but haven't seen the Unlock Wallet button clickable.
I'm totally new to PoW+PoS wallets, is there something special I need to do to start earning interest?
I'm mining to it via a pool as well, so not sure which are from mining and which are from interest(like I said, total newb)
It shows I'm minting though in the bottom right corner icon.

Upgrade your wallet to the newest version.
"Unlock Wallet" button is right above the icons as large as life.

The Unlock Wallet button should ONLY be clickable *if you previously put a password on your wallet.

This has to do with the fact that you can NOT stake your coins when it's locked i am pretty sure.

edit:
so if you never chose and set a password then you have nothing special to do for staking..

We made a little change in our Jackpot Policy:

When the Jackpot is found in a PoW block, the coins will be split as with any other normal block.
When the Jackpot is found in a PoS block, the finder of the PoW block will get 100% of the coins.

Currently jackpot block can be found only by PoW mining, but the reward itself can be shown on the next block either by PoS and PoW.

Dev is also working on a new PoS jackpot reward program !!

Ok, I adjusted the description of the policy.

When the Jackpot is rewarded in a PoW block, the coins will be split as with any normal block.
When the Jackpot is rewarded in a PoS block, the finder of the PoW block will get 100% of the coins.

Maybe it's just the inconsistent terminology that is being used but I'll admit I'm having a hard time understanding all this.

Under Q2 in the FAQ it says "(the algorithm) gives the superblock to the finder of the hash where it meets the superblock criteria." It seems that this is a fairly incomplete description of the entire process as I've now come to understand that once the superblock is found, the reward is not announced/released until the next block is found as well. But as the superblock is ultimately still given to the original finder of the superblock hash, what does it matter who finds the next block?

I've now learned that the next block, the one in which the reward is announced/released, can be either a PoW or PoS block. But as the finder of the hash of that meets the superblock criteria is the same regardless of what type the next block turns out to be, why make that finder's jackpot earnings dependent on the type of the subsequent block?

If cloudminers makes that seemingly arbitrary distinction, then whether the finder of the hash gets 50% or 100% of the jackpot comes down to a flip of a coin more or less. Additionally, whether the rest of the pool gets 50% or 0% of that jackpot also comes down to a random coin flip. I fail to see how any of the parties involved would find that to be an appealing method of jackpot distribution.

ya there is some confusion and even i suffer from that at times Sad
like calculating the net hash rate.. is the wallet correct or not ?
this prob turns people off the coin.. Sad

i bought more coins and i am voting on coinwarz just because i wanna win hahah
coins are cheap i think so.. time to buy

http://www.coinwarz.com/voting
we are still in the lead but we need guys to go and vote occasionally to stay in first place Wink
we are way ahead of other well known coins on there like VeriCoin for example Smiley

HempCoin paid BTC to go from 300 to over 1300 to get in first place.  There is always the possibility that it will happen again with another shitcoin.  So keep voting.  If we are not in first place this Wednesday, it will be even more expensive to buy in,

Hey guys, could really use some more hash power at Hash@Me. Only 1% fee, newly rebuilt wallet, nice fast connection for ~99% pool efficiency. Smiley

Help the jackpotcoin network by spreading the hash rate around a little bit, it's too concentrated on a couple of pools at the moment.

lol anyways
i see price is a bit lower on Bittrex earlier curious if it will pick up soon mid-month altcoin price peaks..
i think it was like 11'ish last i looked..

i am still voting at coinwarz and will keep at it.
and i wanna say..
this coin has some innovation and i don't think it was flash mined unfairly and i am pretty sure the majority of the premine was handed out to bounties and giveaways.
there is no way the dev has much of it left.. so people shouldn't be paranoid about that in any way.
and if you wanna know what it was paid out on it's in the post history here..

I agree, I don't think there is anything shady about this coin at all. If anything it's shady that someone is making these claims about it
