30 billion coins?
Oye, don't devs know that inflation kills any currency.
In reality it is just 6 or 7 billion in the timespan that matters (a few years). I think the rest is for like 25+ years of staking. Been a while since I looked at the specifics though. It does make people think it's more plentiful than it is though and a lot of people seem to be confused by it so something should be done to the OP to clarify.

30 billion coins?
Oye, don't devs know that inflation kills any currency.
any difference that HYP that is all the rage these days ? mega staking collusal amounts of coins with an infinite max coins setting ? JPC is limited in supply and can be mined and was not IPO'd @Dotcommie i agree the OP should maybe make a point of that it's a common thing that scares people. it find it funny people nit pick this coin hard forever then avoid talking about the scammy nature of the coins they are using LOL such as never ending revolving door off scam coins with gimmicks.. like some guys tries like hell to bash this one but avoids the coin he is using has offered little innovation and has way worse negatives. they have to hide and change names non stop or they look like greedy blow-hard's jumping from shit coin to shit coin.. while we're STILL here ! coin supporters vs greedy idiots damaging crypto with greed . PS: @Vlad i nagged BitJohn for you about Max coin bro @everyone Also JPC was delisted with no msg here about it at Poloniex not all that far back mods told me. edit'z ! http://jpcdice.com/is still down and we don't know if it's coming back i think but it's still listed on OP's main post. that sucked !

I can only imagine how much those wallets with Millions are Staking..... We need to get listed on More Exchanges! BTY...Thanks Dev. Not so sure about that. Bittrex has been good to us so far and I think trading should concentrate there to keep the volume up. I think we'd have a lot more volume if people had not lost so much in Mintpal. I don't know if I'll get my .5 btc back, but I was going to put that back into jpc when it came back down to 8sat and now that it is, I have no spare btc :-/ Also, the dev is great and only updates us when there are things to update us with. He has always come through with new wallets as soon as they're needed or as soon as a bug is discovered. I don't know what the "secret" feature is that he was referring to in 1.6, but maybe that is just taking more time to implement than expected. If another month goes by, then yeah, maybe I'd be asking for more updates, but I don't think we need to be like other "communities" where people just constantly hound the dev about random things.

i agree with the commie but Poloniex had dropped JPC not that far back and new exchanges being added is far less likely now.. they only add coins early for some odd reason LOL and guys love to bash the shit of this coin and pick it apart to push their coin IPO scam coin and scream about profits then the guys with us leave for scam coin profits it will be funny when they bolt back in huge numbers though when JPC spikes up to 80+ again LOL edit: I also would not characterize my attitude on this topic as "impatient" as the guy implied earlier. I have a the dev can do what he wants policy always. A policy of him having the freedom to breath and do what he wants is best. I will not be jumping down his throat if he comes and posts here. But we have to ask if you have a question right ?

Well, if you want an update, here is one.
The truth is that a part of the team has left us some time ago, so updates are less frequent. We also are in a phase were most of the technical part is done already (which is the reason why that part of the team left). We keep working on the coin, but we can't add features just for telling we're adding features. The potential new features take more time to develop and are not necessarily indispensable, but bringing innovations at that time of the development adds more risks to the coin's stability than doing nothing. That's why we are taking our time, experimenting and all. So again, next version's release date is "when it's done!"
As for the marketing side, we have been comtemplating changing the name to something more mainstream. JackpotCoin was a great straightforward name, making it easy to understand one of it's killer features, but it led to a niche market (games), which was not intended at start... Would that be a good idea, now, to change the name? Is it worth it? And wouldn't that ruin the stability? It's open to debate...

I appreciate the clarity. I would be personally open to a name change if there was a good reason for it, but I'd suggest it should still emphasize the super block feature as it really is a unique incentive to mine as opposed to just staking. Nothing unique or game changing comes to mind for features, but anonymity is quite a huge boon to technology these days and seems to really be appreciated amongst crypto currency fans. If it wouldn't be too difficult, I'd certainly suggest adding that, if nothing else for a meaningful version bump and generating interest in the coin.

The name of the game is in the name, well there are so many good names that has been used by lesser coins. Needs some thought.

I really don't think the name should be changed. It accurately describes the main coin feature and it is a unique name that is associated with money. Many coins have come out with all sorts of crazy names that usually just apply to one thing, like cannabis coin, sex coin, panda coin, bee coin, etc and they don't really appeal to the mass market. (BEEcoin does serve a purpose of supporting bee preservation efforts if it can just get people behind it, but people have not been playing the long game with many coins it seems, they just want fast money.) The only one that broke most of those barriers was Doge coin.
Maaaaaaybe if the volume and price picks up now that the block reward has reduced significantly we should have that discussion, but I don't think that decision should be made when we still have a relatively small, but dedicated, community.
We just need to keep doing what we've been doing, but marketing it better. I have been transferring my coins around since the whole mintpal fiasco and I forgot just how quick Jackpotcoin is compared to all of the other established coins out there. Being used in online games isn't a problem, it's a benefit. People want to gamble and play with digital currency on those sites, but the problem has been the lack of trustworthy individuals running those kinds of sites.

I also would keep the name. maybe more marking efforts are needed, and, as stated by Dotcommie an anon feature would be great.

I don't think I made that statement specifically, but it couldn't hurt. I think people were asking for it a couple months ago when anon was all the rage though. I'm more interested in having a stable, fast, and trustworthy coin that isn't full of untrustworthy, scammy, people. We've had a few trolls in the past, but we've been relatively free of any real drama and when there are any concerns or real problems the devs take care of them quickly. It's nice that they don't rush out buggy software and that the jackpot concept has been working perfectly with almost no hiccups since launch.

ya well said commie ! it's been smooth sailing unlike a lot of coins. another dice site would still be good although it was a benefit of sorts not a key feature we advertised.. doesn't help when some exchanges delist us either like Poloniex.. what can i say ? other than i vote keep the name lol people are interested in hopping to the most profitable coin.. there lies the problem. we have seen guys whine about mining profitability here a lot so obviously they just bounced over to any other coin that is giving them more dump profits. and unlike current trends at least we have a sane and reasonable stake percentage unlike this hyperstake nonsense fad / trend obviously usability is key.. pandering to the pump and dump crowd is only going to do so much and how much usability can a coin have.. it's a fucking coin.. use it LOL is it suppose to grab a guitar and sing and dance for me ? i've been using it for ages pretty much from the start and it works perfectly fine as a currency and unlike most dumpy shit coins i am still CPU mining it ! not sure what to suggest people will do what their gonna do.. and we're in a greedy / selfish scene where guys think of things short term mostly and i knew damn well most guys were going leave when profitability died off long ago i just sat back and waited for it and sure enough..
