Nobody has really wandered off besides probably a few people who set up sells a while ago and then stopped paying attention to the exchange.

Don't worry, I was the one who kickstarted a bit of a downward trend a few days ago by selling a whole bunch(no it wasn't because you said you were leaving Spoetnik).  I just wanted to see if the sell walls were being actively monitored or if they were just sleepy traders that forgot.  Looks to be pretty clear now that they are just irresponsible traders and not really looking at JPC much.  Thought maybe I could shake out the weaker hands, but apparently they're more like dead hands and not even paying attention.  I bought a little of it back for cheaper, but was hoping to buy back the full amount for cheaper which hasn't happened.

We'll have to see what happens when volume comes back to alts.  Currently everything looks pretty sad except for BTC.

Antivirus, firewall, or something like that maybe?  Do you have any connections when the wallet is open?

Try this in your conf maybe?

Sorry, this is not a new install, I have had v 1.5 running since it came out, and it was working fine until last night, when it lost connection.
I've reinstalled after my backup, and it will not sync up.I did not have all the addnodes you listed, but have added them to my conf file.  Still no connections   Shocked

On real "toughies", I've pinged each node individually, eliminating the unreachables, then deleted my peers.dat file - usually I get somewhere this way. Big pita - but...

you know with the amount of guys that pop up on a regular basis claiming the wallet will not sync with no connections
it's really been making wonder..
Wonder if their fishing for IP address for a few different reasons.

It's weird from my point of view because i see no problem at all EVER with connections on my end there is shit loads !
And i have occasionally re-downloaded the block chain after deleting my roaming folder too with no .conf at all either.

So i want to warn guys to be careful posting a list of nodes or connection info or IP addresses.
People out there may have malicious purposes.. the main page has enough connection info to get started.
I see no reason why that shouldn't work.. i would be cautious about handing data to random 0 post count noobs.

edit:
And by the way you guys all have to use the newest wallet.
Running an old version may get you ignored on the network.. there has been forks in the past.

If your talking about me, let me explain now that I have some free time. Yesterday, I noticed I had no connections for JPC. I did what I thought I needed to do to get my connections back before running off to work. Upon returning from work, I found out that I have 6 wallets with no connections.
I use "malwarebytes" program for web protection, and I have included all nodes listed by the above people and from the first page, but I still have 0 connections on JPC. My antivirus program shows no blocking activity for any of the nodes. Even when I shut malwarebytes completely down, I have no connections.
Seeing how you like to quickly jump to conclusions, what is your conclusion on my wallet problem? Please dont feel the need to release any information that I could hack cryptoland with....your paranoid enough I think.

Haha, don't worry about him.  He claimed he was leaving as well but he obviously has not  Wink

I don't have all of those connections in my conf either, but thought it might help you.  Since it doesn't, if I were you I would backup the wallet.dat and then rename the jackpotcoin folder under your user's roaming folder.  Then I would just start fresh and download the latest wallet, let it create new folders in roaming, wait to see if it gets any connections, and then if it does, just let it download the whole chain.  If it works normally, you can just close the wallet and drop your backed up wallet.dat back in that folder and then reopen the wallet and it should all be back to normal.

If you still have no connections on a fresh setup, there's something up with your security settings, network, router, whatever.

I have tried creating a new roaming folder..but still nothing. I will move my wallets over to my mining rig. I cant get around the security.Everything else hardware wise is working as usual.

Anyone with connection issues, try a VPN (a trustworthy and secure one of course). My ISP throttles p2p in a weird way. My torrents download fine after stalling a bit, but my wallets are always behind sync. Connecting to a VPN fixes this completely.

I'm having the same issue, peers.dat got corrupted so I tried a new install of the latest version and now it can't find anyone.  And whats up with all the public JackpotCoins showing the jackpot at 0?  I'm trying to add the peer list given above to jackpotcoin.conf in the appdata folder, not sure if that's right or not.  I'm also getting a No Valid UPnP IGDs found line in the debug.log, not sure if its relevent.  Other wallets are working fine, no firewall.  Any other ideas?

AppData\Roaming\JackpotCoin would be the correct directory for jackpotcoin.conf.  My conf file literally looks like this below and functions no problem (provided I use my VPN due to shitty isp)

if you still can't connect, have you tried totally wiping out everything except your wallet.dat and doing a fresh install of the latest client?  I did have to do this once for a different coin.

I use Spotflux for a VPN because I got a year of premium for $10 a while back. If Comcast throttles/filters p2p (they probably do) a VPN would probably solve it. If Spotflux doesn't offer a free trial still, just see if you can try any free VPN before considering buying service from one.  There are probably plenty of free VPN's through soft ether, etc, but I have no idea about the speed, reliability, or security of those.

@Dotcommie
Whether i am leaving or not has no bearing on my comment Wink
It is still a good warning etc !

it really does some odd so many people have problems.
I keep saying i don't get it and i can not reproduce the problem.
and by the sounds of it you would have to assume the coin is badly broken and works for very few people
*if you believe the constant comments that get posted here complaining about not being able to get synced.

go ahead and look back some pages in this topic and you will see people bitching non stop.
And i have been trying hard to not call them a liar etc LOL

Maybe you guys should report you problems to the dev because it seems most new users can't connect
with out coming to this topic and demanding the coin is broken  Shocked

don't forget there has been people leaving fake comments here to attack this coin too.

Anyone know what is happening at Bttrex?  The trading for JPC has been disabled for two days.
