Rosh you still here with us man? Whatever the case may be, can you let us know? If SFR has been abandoned, can you at least say so. You've had some loyal followers since the very beginning, and it's a bit of a shame you've left them in the dark.

I second that.

If dev abandon this coin maybe it's a good idea for a community takeover??

So what partially attracted many people to SFR, or maybe just me,  was the talent and skill of the development team. The innovation and tech has always spoken for itself with SFR and Rosh continuously earned his reputation as one of the best crypto developers, so much so that Unocoin had to scoop him up and hire him as their Chief Scientist.

At first thought, I feel against a community takeover of SFR because I feel like its an excuse for a quick pump, profit, and dump and SFR (as I still put SFR on a pedestal above all of that) is better than your average shitcoin. Even though Rosh may no longer be with us (despite no real confirmation, or lack thereof, for his disappearance), I still hold the coin because I still believe in the vision and what it stands for. And sinking down to the scummy underworld of shitcoins is no trip that SFR deserves to take. Many of us are holding the coin hoping that Rosh will one day return and everything will be cleared up. Yes, this may be a bit optimistic or naive but Rosh has never done anything to lower my exceptions or trust in him. He continuously delivered and released new feature after feature at a rapid pace, some would argue it was too rapid and may have hurt SFR. Rosh has always been very open and communicative and up until about a couple months ago, we always always very easy to reach and quick to respond to questions or concerns. Obviously, we all know, at present time this isn't the case.

But back to the point about a community takeover... I wouldn't be opposed to a community takeover but if and only if we have a full time dev lined up for the re-launch, who has received consensus from the SFR community. If anyone knows or has someone in mind, have them stop by the thread or IRC channel. Both have been quiet recently, but chunk of the community is definitely still alive and well at both.

It'd even be a cool community discussion to have, discussion qualifications, requirements, process of finding, reviewing, and selecting a dev(s) Smiley The great thing about the decentralization of crypto is that coins are difficult to truly kill.

Just my two sats but whatev Wink

I agree with Nightman that the reason SFR has been successful in the past is because of Rosh and the team's development skills/plans. I started investing into SFR and supporting the community because of the development team and their vision. Unfortunately, it looks like the team has scattered and Rosh is MIA.

As far as a community takeover, I also think it will mark the beginning of the end for SFR, just like most community takeovers have done for other coins. As mentioned in the post above, most if not all takeovers have been quick pump and dump schemes. It will be almost impossible to find a legit and talented crypto dev to permanently takeover this project, because if theyre that skilled, it would make a lot more sense for them to start their own coin. If you guys end up getting a takeover team together, I wish you the best of luck. Just know that I will be making a slow exit soon after.

I just wish Rosh would be more active like he used to be. Not necessarily post on a daily basis, but at least give a weekly update on things, and not give specific timelines (like Feb 21st release for SFR Direct) and then proceed to not only miss the deadline by almost 2 months but also keep quiet about it. This is what ruins reputation and trust especially from loyal investors who have been showing support and giving donations to the project from the beginning. I havn't been here from the beginning but maybe a few months into the project.

Have I lost all trust in Rosh and the team (assuming that the other devs are still part of the project)? No I havn't, at least not yet. Am I disappointed? Yes, extremely disappointed. I've put in a lot of money into SFR, only to see it dwindle down to pennies. And I wouldn't care about losing money if the development team were honest and communicative about things. If they tried their best and failed then so be it, I have no problem with this. But the truth of the matter is they have left us in the dark.

Completely agree and im in the same boat. To just be left hanging like this is.....painful

Rosh, buddy, you logged in today...give us some sort of reply man. You can't possibly be that busy to not leave a 30 second reply.

When the long time supporters of the coin come out and ask for an update. I guess we deserve one.
Any type of update can't be worse than no updates. You can come out and say nothing has changed since the last update and I would appreciate your honesty.

Or just tell us when the next update will be, so we don't have to check this post often or bother you asking for one.

Thanks.

I got 2 theories about this situation #1 either he is in NDA.(May be unocoin is in the process of integrating saffroncoin into their system). or
#2 He should have abandoned this coin.

But logically #2 wont stand.I would be thoroughly shocked if #2 is true.Because so many ppl have invested their money and time in this coin and its not a right move from someone who is playing a big role in making crypto a better space.

So watching this coin eagerly. Smiley

I think his time was consumed full time at UnoCoin. He is the Chief Scientist there.
Check UnoCoin website.

And cryptoxindia.com  domain is still parked.

Of course he is working with UnoCoin, and whether he has some sort of non-disclosure agreement, he still has the right to tell us that he is still working on SFR or part of the project, as he was prior to joining UnoCoin. And regardless if he is busy or not, it doesnt take much time to give a 5 word update, let's be real. This is ridiculous already.

Hi guys,
First of all apologies on not being much active and for such a delay in posting. I am heavily grateful to the community for sticking with us.

The good news is that, the other developers are back and we are looking to get some more in and work on the cryptoxindia exchange.

Regarding Unocoin, i cant disclose much but i can say that, SFR being added on their website is not immediate as of now but they as individuals would help us externally in other ways.

SFR is not dead.

I can assure you, we can get ourselves back rolling.

Regards,

Roshan

Rosh, thank you for taking the time to provide us with this update. Many of us assumed SFR was not dead, but obviously hearing from you is definitely re-assuring. I don't expect you to update us everyday, every other day, or anything like that, but i'm pretty the entire community would be more than happy with simply an occasional post.

We know that you have your hands full with unocoin, but i'm glad to here the other developers have returned. I hope you have time to pop in IRC sometime too, missed ya big buy Smiley

Please note that SaffronCoin will be removed from *SPAM* exchange due to low or no trading activity. Please withdraw all your funds from the wallet before May 7th, 2015.
No funds could be retrieved after this date.

We appreciate your understanding, and thank you for NOT trading with us.

Please note that your whole exchange has no volume or low trade activity. 379 markets and none exceeds 0.15 BTC volume.  Please remove you spam post, cause that is all you are doing. Also a dumb moment to post here right after this post.......

Comkort are just guys who are trying to find their place in the crypto market. I have talked with them several times and I haven't seen anything bad from them so there is no need to be rude.

P.S. Thank you for the update, Roshan!
