Why because you have to mine it? Im not a miner, but mining gives coins some value. With your logic, I guess bitcoin is a waste of energy too, since it has to be mined.
Yup btc is eco disaster and it won't last long

Yup btc is eco disaster and it won't last long ecological aspect have little impact on things, money involved into it have a bigger impact. With the money spent on asics for BTC, i don't think it will fail soon and if it fails i don't think it will be because it's not eco.

As I said before Saffroncoin needs a hook. With the amount of coins on the market most will be failures including many good coins. Having a good coin does not ensure success. Saffroncoin has a very good development team so far and a great wallet, but it will take more.
Many people who buy altcoins are looking for an investment. People are not going to spend their money on features unless they bring a return on investment. There is a differnce between gambling and investing.
Saffroncoin needs to take a leap of faith and go for broke with the intention to make the coin a DAC of some sort. This way the coin will be seen as an investment instrument. I think immediate emphasis should be on development sidechain assets that can be purchased and traded as shares and currencies. Each being convertable and divisible with Saffroncoin.
There are many coins and most will fail including some very good ones. I think that the natural evolution will be DAC's with the coin holders also being shareholders in something of value.
All this is being said not withstanding the roadmap which is good in my opinion. This in no way meant to slight talent of the dev team. This is business.

I don't think anyone including the devs will take what you said negative at all. Sounds like you are offering some sound and thoughtful suggestions to help, not hurt. Feel kinda ignorant asking this but can you explain more of what you mean in "making the coin a DAC of some sort"? I am curious and just interested to better understand what you are suggesting.

I am suggesting that almost every coin will fail except those that become an investment instruments. There is always space for creative new companies to emerge. Just as there is Apple and Google there will be new inovated businesses in the future. A DAC is a Decentralized Autonimous Corpration. It will allow startups to have a global garage so to speak. Each participant will be able to share in a decentralized corporation. Saffroncoin has built features to help support this. By building on a sidechain a DAC could offer shares of assests for sale. No one would have to be in charge. It would be trustless. Trustless because it is a rule based system and the rules cannot be volated. Shares would appreciate in value based on new assets being added and enhanced. Of course shareholders earn dividends. For example say, SaffronShares sold shares of the DAC which was based on the new decentralized exchange. How many shares could be sold? How many SaffronShares could you buy with one Saffroncoin? This would provide a project that would continue develop for years. A DAC grows just like any other corporation except it is decentralized which makes it better. It can sell stock, aquire assets, create other startups, etc. Most importantly it would stand more independantly from Bitcoin over time. It would be a valuable asset in it's self.

Yes we will be using Sidechains in the future. We will run a host of apps on Sidechains. This is where POW coins come in handy since the Sidechain and the main chain will be merge-mined. SFR will be transferred to and fro from its sidechain. Initially the testing phases of our decentralized exchange "SFRDirect" will be running on the main but the final release will be on a sidechain.

As "ImSleepy" from IRC mentioned the name "Agora" seems to be a fitting name for the decentralized marketplace. Relevant Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AgoraThe Agora (/ˈæɡərə/; Ancient Greek: Ἀγoρά Agorá) was a central spot in ancient Greek city-states. The literal meaning of the word is "gathering place" or "assembly". ... the agora also served as a marketplace where merchants kept stalls or shops to sell their goods amid colonnades.

Will this iteration of the 2FA solution be centralized or decentralized ? Either way it's a great feature to have.

I think just 'Agora', without the SFR in front. SFRAgora kinda sounds like you're trying to pronounce 'Viagra'.

LOL! Yea if you don't know what it means or have never heard the word it is a little weird. Agora also ties in with agorism which in simple terms is counter-economics. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AgorismThough it does fit with a decentralized marketplace, it maybe a little too weird/unknown to potential users and may discourage them. Which was what the dev and others said.
