New Pool by David discription to mine ORB on POOL http://orb.dnb.io/ this pool works fine, i have tested. Zero invaild shares
ORB dnb.io pool features : Hosted in a european data-center (Bissen, Luxembourg); Monitored 24/7; CloudFlare DNS protection; DDoS protected servers; Fixed (32, 64, 128) and variable stratum mining diffs; PPLNS payout system; 2% fees for hosting and maintenance; New features added constantly. This is by far the first crypto coin to truly help science. The Orbitcoin Society mission goal is to support open source science and bring some of that power back to the people ! Orbitcoin uses the green and fair Neoscrypt algorithm. Feel free to register and mine ORBs with us ! Home mining is not dead ! Variable stratum address to use : stratum+tcp://strat.dnb.io:3031 Diff 32 stratum address : stratum+tcp://strat.dnb.io:3028 Diff 64 stratum address : stratum+tcp://strat.dnb.io:3029 Diff 128 stratum address : stratum+tcp://strat.dnb.io:3030 1. download sgminer here https://ottrbutt.com/sgminer/master/wolf-sgminer-master-12242014.zip and decompress v5.1.0 2. download the kernel https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0ENIPCOaLvNMWdnT0dEc3JpdzA/view?usp=sharing and decompress, copy all files *.cl in the sgminer/kernel/ folder 3. download amd-ocl-collection.7z https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0ENIPCOaLvNUy1uSlI3ZldJSXc/view?usp=sharing the best seems 14.6 RC2, copy this files into sgminer/ folder 4. a good configuration seems to be for a ATI HD7970 on Win7 x64 in a *.bat file but try it out. setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 sgminer.exe --algorithm neoscrypt --net-delay --url stratum+tcp://dnb.io:3256 -u yourworkername -p yourpassword --device 0 or 1 or etc --gpu-threads 4 --worksize 256 --xintensity 3 --shaders 2048 --thread-concurrency 8192 --vectors 1 --scan-time 5 --queue 5 --expiry 10 --gpu-powertune 25 --auto-gpu --gpu-engine 1050 --gpu-memclock 1375 --temp-target 85 --temp-overheat 90 --temp-cutoff 95

This should be correct: Orbitcoin DescriptionOrbitcoin is the 1st PoW/PoS hybrid coin with fixed block rewards and limited supply. 33% of blocks are generated through PoW and the remaining 67% are produced through PoS. Difficulty changes every block using a secure and flexible algorithm. Orbitcoin supports open source science and operates on broad consensus of the community for the common good. Orbitcoin Specifications- advanced hybrid proof-of-work (PoW) and proof-of-stake (PoS) - 33% PoW blocks and 67% PoS blocks - 3.77 million coins to be produced - block hashing is BLAKE2s - PoW hashing is NeoScrypt - PoS hashing is SHA-256d - 1 minute combined block target (3 minutes for PoW, 1.5 minutes for PoS) - retargets every block using Orbitcoin Super Shield (OSS) - time warp and instamining protection - advanced checkpointing against 51% attacks - transaction messaging supported - the 1st implementation of 0% PoS - PoW and PoS blocks carry the same fixed reward of 1 ORB - 6 confirmations for regular transactions - 200 confirmations for minted coins - very low transaction fees (most transactions are free) - no destruction of transaction fees (all collected by a block finder) - the default P2P port is 15298, RPC port is 15299 - I2P/Tor ready Orbitcoin LinksSouce code: https://github.com/ghostlander/Orbitcoin/Block explorer: http://explorer.orbitcoin.org

ORB is completely broken and will be removed from AllCrypt.com in 7 days time. We upgraded to 1.5 as requested. Since the moment we upgraded we have received no new blocks. Since the upgrade, we have:
* Restarted the wallet * -rescan'ed the wallet * -salvagewallet'ed the wallet * Deleted the blockchain and resynced * -rescan'ed after a new blockchain download * And tonight, we re-downloaded the source from github, recompiled, and re-downloaded the blockchain.
And we still have no new blocks, and all coins we DID have have been withdrawn (unsuccessfully with 0 confirmations) and we are now missing coins.
We give up. It's broken.
I have all ORB withdrawn from your Exchange! How is that possible if ORB is still broken and out of sync!? Summary ORB works perfectly!

We need to compile a list of priorities and assign bounties accordingly.

Syncing from scratch in order to use the new db format, getting a bunch of these messages... 01/21/15 07:44:52 received and discarded distant block b95dfead85e098d56e7a height 437201 01/21/15 07:44:52 received and discarded distant block 240f67733c4f90446596 height 437202 01/21/15 07:44:52 received and discarded distant block c7f4da2c491d8eebd032 height 437203 01/21/15 07:44:52 received and discarded distant block 253b523c3912409eac91 height 437204 01/21/15 07:44:52 received and discarded distant block c59569559519dc6d2aef height 437205 01/21/15 07:44:52 received and discarded distant block 9ab6b4e6b85e557996f4 height 437206
So far there's over 160,000 such entries in debug.log. That's like 15% of the entire blockchain received but discarded... Current synced height is 110533 so 437201 is way off. I'm trying to understand why my client would be requesting a block at height 437k, when it's only synced to 110k? And now it's discarding blocks at height 675k. edit: now up to 312951 680886 discards.

This is a new feature in v1.5.0.0. When a client downloads the block chain initially, it requests blocks from its peers in large sets, 500 or 1000 blocks each. However these peers also relay new blocks to the client. It cannot connect them because it's low on block height. The usual behaviour is to store them as orphans in memory. Doesn't seem optimal because it consumes CPU time, memory and may even be a DDoS attack vector. Therefore the client discards these blocks simply. One may think it wastes traffic and slows down synchronisation, but it speeds up things in fact.
