funny how the shitcoins get so much attention, and the few legit and interesting ones like syscoin stay in the shade.

well done and you got my support Wink

what does let you think that syscoin is not a shitcoin? Nothing there is proven yet

is this for real Huh

Yes.  I've been working on Syscoin for five months now. I started right after the new year and syscoin is the result of a lot of hard work and consideration.  I built the syscoin client around the litecoin v0.8.6.2 codebase.  Then  I added scrypt merge mining.  Then, I dissected the namecoin and datacoin codebases, as well as half a dozen other clients, and applied that knowledge - and some of my ideas and lessons learned to implement all of Syscoin's service offerings.

Honestly, I'm proud of my work. Syscoin's service offerings and sheer scope of utility past its use as currency are something that I feel proud of releasing for public consumption.  It's certainly more novel and more useful than 99% of the 'Our Shitcoin community supports herpderpistan and has 17 zillion rotating hashing algorithms so support this coin now!' posts you'll see in this category.

Frankly, I'm starting to scratch my head a bit that it took so long for someone to post an 'is this for real' comment. I expected one by page two. Syscoin is very real - the client has all the features mentioned fully implemented and in beta now.  I assure you, neither I nor anyone of our team have no time to waste on scams and vapor or the fools we'd suffer in the process.

If you (replier or thread reader) are someone serious and knowledgeable about bitcoin / namecoin and you're curious about syscoin, please PM dan.  We're certainly open to more private dialogue with you.

We like that logo Smiley. Blockchain, nodes, secure and name. Can't ask for more than that.

Excited Shocked

Would be great if it will be launched before "Titans" and other mega asic's is out. So we poor, GPU miner's can get it to  Roll Eyes

Also 247mining.com will be happy, to have This coin in our family.

I have to say, this coin looks amazing! The plans you have for this are phenomenal. My only gripe is that this is a scrypt coin. With a couple of gpus I won't be able to amass much. I will support this coin with my low hash power though. If it is still early enough in the programing, think about X11. Anyway, great coin! Hope this works out well for you and the community!

I'd believe in all these promised features if Syscoin came out with a compelling app at launch.  Alias auctions are good but they certainly do not turn heads or are in big demand.

Syscoin sound like it wants to do things similar to NXT, NEM, Mastercoin, etc. -- bitcoin 2.0 stuff.  Mastercoin came out with a decentralized exchange  which made me notice them a lot more.

Coming out with a new coin and having TBD's everywhere on all the proposed killer features and apps will make a weak launch.  But having something tangible will make you guys stand out from the competition and attract more investment imho.

Raising funds is always a challenge.  MaidSafe's fund raising was successful because they had papers, videos, showed their faces, had some meat to chew on and digest in their blogs, etc.

I'd trust syscoin more if I saw more meat and a better website -- a single link back to this thread is not very convincing.
