 A video would bolster some confidence about the coin. Though will it show this thing is real? Nope, that will be a stretch. To actually believe its real, some of us will require to be able to get on the test chain and check it out.
Though I am confused what does testing on a non-testnet blockchain mean? Normally you will test your features on a test chain. Even after things are, as you put it, hardened you will just move on to a new test chain with a new genesis block.

You don't know for 100% certain if the escrow person will steal your money. Nevertheless, some people on these forums have been doing escrow for years with massive sums of money and have never stolen anything. Their reputation is the thing everyone depends on and the fact that their long term earnings from escrow fees are probably worth far more than the money they hold for others at any particular time.

We have spent a lot of time looking at escrows.
The main issue is that as soon as we started mentioning that we needed proof of identity they chickened out.
Others did just not have the time or was working on other projects.

We hope to be able to announce who the escrow will be within the next 48-72 hours. Just a few details that needs to be ironed out.
