I mentioned earlier that we will revise the POA algorithm. If the system would be more transactions then it would be a lot of competition

I understand that.
But of weeks that guy took about 90% of everything that means fee.
Fair?
Each of us should do at least two accounts and sit all day just to make transactions between them?
I do not know.
Good luck!

There are no transactions in the system, imagine what the Node is about 1000 transactions a day and more

white,
We've talked about this before

As I said earlier, according to our calculations possibility of manipulation will disappear automatically with the growth of the network and capitalization.
If You send 10,000 (fee is 35) and gain highest PoA weight then You can get a profit only when the next block will be 35+1, - respectively, next transaction should be 10000+1. But it can be 10, 100 or even 1, - so then You get less than You give. In this case Your unnecessary transactions will bring You nothing but losses Smiley Now, on the initial stage of network forger's number is small and there is a high percentage of large transactions 490,000+ so You can get some profit sending money between own accounts, but the overall low level of capitalization will make it low.
So I repeat again: in the future this possibility will disappear automatically with increasing of total number of transactions and a decreasing in the average transaction amount. Even now there is enough around 15-20 small & middle transactions per hour to overlap this possibility.

In the February release we try to make the PoA coefficient as open and transparent as possible.

How do I know if I got some reward from POA in my account? Is there any search for this in client?

It has green arrow for input values and red arrow for output values.
Could have a different icon for the rewards.

Now we are working on improving the UI for the next version where we plan to add some new useful information such as the amount of "forging" money, hot wallets etc. If you have good ideas that you would like to see in UI we will be glad to hear it.
Also, our lead programmer personally oversees the development of some revolutionary additions - a unique system of multi-signature which will allow to have unique and incredibly convenient types of accounts, which have no analogues in the modern banking system. These new types of accounts will be particularly useful for e-commerce, online auctions and even for couples which calculates their budget. This project will be released no earlier than in a Feb-March.

I just launched the test_network node client but now I am on the real network.. my test password has 0 balance and my old and almost empty account has a little balance, as I left it there... strange.

rename C:/nxtl to nxtl1. Now your nxtlarchive is named Node
it did autmatically rename the folder to Node. did not know that we can connect to the real network with test-clients.
after deleting the folder everything is fine.
I still have 5M so everyone who wants some (test)Nodes can give me his adress.

how to test node,i download the nodemoney, and then?how to get the nodes?

When will issue with linux test client be fixed? I pmd koop two days ago about this.

Linux test client has already been fixed and released in a test network for 2 weeks of testing.

how to test node,i download the nodemoney, and then?how to get the nodes?

How to participate in testing:

@update

We fixed a bug with hang on the network and made a test network for debugging. Those who have no coins, please contact me in pm. I will send. Who previously participated in testing can use your password that I sent earlier

Instructions:
1) Download Client
2) Unzip new folder
3) Change the folder C:\nxtl on the C:\nxtl1 for win
3) Launch Node_test.exe , Launch linux your_ip:20000 (Instruction for linux https://github.com/nodepay/Docs/blob/master/Instructions.md)
4) Wait for Client to synchronize with other Nodes!
4) Insert Secret Passphrase
5) Enjoy NodeCoin!

Yes and you need to left open your NODE cleint, POA= Proof of Activity. More transactions = more chances of forging block.

That is not pump. That is some guys buying and value growing. There is a diference between price or value increasing and just a pump. A pump could take NODE to 500-1000 satoshis in a day.. not from 60 to 65. Cheesy

I've been away for a few days and haven't kept up.

Any ideas of what to do with the 100 000 NODE left from the giveaway?

Maybe reward some of the people running private nodes?

Suggestions are welcomed.

I think is a good idea to reward private node owners, they are making the net more reliable and secure
( i think poa reward only should reward to the private node runners and not to the nodecoin owners because if you have money and you can buy lot of nodecoins will be rewarded and by run a node with 10.000 nodes for weeks your get nothing, but it is a personal idea)

you still can give some nodes to people writing about Nodecoin in crypto´s blog and news webs

thank you Dev

Hi, looking for web i´ve found this i´m not programer but perhaps it can help devs to implement https for Node

http://greengeckodesign.com/blog/2013/06/15/creating-an-ssl-certificate-for-node-dot-js/

PD: Can we run the Nodecoin server from a Android device?

I like this idea.

One idea is to reward each private node based on how long they have been up. Anyone have suggestions on ideal reward size?

Is there a way to know who's a private node and the time they have been on?

i think would be interesting calculate it each 24 hours (sometimes servers breaks or enter in maintenance) i think if people likes we could reward the running nodes with 80% of fees and the other 20% to reward active accounts like now (but without limit of 500.000 nodes, it make the coin unfair for poor people)

i think all node running with account id should be rewarded if people want to create nodes for earn more rewards it will strenght the coin

We should create a log recording the conected peers, it only must save the last 24 hours of peer conections in each running node
The formula could be something like this:

Total 24 hours fees * 0.8/ total number of the last  24 hours running nodes with account id
Total 24 hour fees * 0.2/top 100 accounts with more activity

What do you think?
