Quick thought: maybe other exchanges are not listing node because nem will be listed by them when launched. I believe node is seen as a competitor to nem since they both spawned off the idea from nxt. Seeing all the hardcore nemsters in this thread every now and then trying to FUD node makes node look like their main competition. Maybe there is backroom deals going on with the nem team and exchanges.

It's possible, but I'm sure plenty of NEMsters are Nodesters too. NEM is a lot more organised overall so probably looks like much more of a sure bet for volume.

Anyone  day traders had everything on BTER is my guess and no-one wants to trust the new exchange, coupled with the fact that there are still some short term holders that must be panicking and dumping. LOL

Let them.

 i dunno.

alcurex is doing a good job being active everyday and answering and solving problems. they also have 2fa email on demand for each user. all their wallets are cold. no hot wallet i believe.

i believe slowly all the majority node market will move to alcurex.

So your saying because they are doing a good job and you trust them that everyone does? really? Do you read minds?

BTW, I'm not arguing whether they are doing a good job or not, that point is moot.

Exchanges are biased when it comes to listing similar coins. Who knows why they do what they do

Taunsew: what's your point? I don't have time to be " chatting", I do what I can with what I know and have.
I have a life outside of the internet, I doubt you know what that's like.

Edit: please don't ever pm me again with your ideas, unless you forgot to switch accounts to your neutral one. I'm not here to cater to schizzos

a coin needs an exchange to help distribute their coins around. there is no other way to get this coin other then purchase it. An exchange is necessary.

there is nothing moot about it. all you gotta do is play the safe trade. move your coin in. trade and move them out. do not let them sit there if you will not trade at all. especially node. take seconds to send coins across network

I don't think Exchanges give a flying fart about wether projects are rivals.
Poloniex says they list innovative coins so if you contacted them they would probably add NODE.
The hard part ist often not being listed but staying on an exchange. If the volume is too low you'll be delisted again and coming back from that seems more than unlikely.

Also nemsters trying to FUD here ? I hope you don't mean Taunsew ?

If you login to forge this is not neccessary on linux clients. You only need to put your passphrase into the clientConfig.js in the lib folder (or create that file as it is missing in the latest version).
Then you can see the progress of blockchain verification in your browser and after that you are good to go without a login in the browser

The big picture in the ANN that shows the node url in a browser points towards the olt port 19775 and the picture shows 19775.. this should also be updated...

I have to create a new folder "lib" and to create a new file "clientConfig.js" and write :

Quote
var ClientConfig = (function() {
 return {
  accName: 'mypassword'
 };
})();

module.exports = ClientConfig;

Am I right ?

There isn't a Mac version of the latest client update.  I haven't used it yet, but I was told that the Linux version should work just fine.

I just don't think there are any MAC users signing on lately. I thought Mac OS was linux, can't you run linux wallet?

Well it could be for the same reasons why I'm not using it anymore-- the old version worked with just a double-click of the installer.
