To be clear, I have to send some Node to be elligible for forging?  I've only received from Bter so far.  If I have a 2.5m balance, should I hit blocks without sending?

It will increase your chance but in general it's not a prerequisite. You just stay online and you'll start earning Smiley

Great, thanks!

A Personal Quote on BTT from 2011:
"I'd be willing to make a moderate "investment" if the value of the BTC went below $2.00.  Otherwise I'll just have to live with my 5 BTC and be happy. :/"  ...sigh.  If only I knew.

DRK keeps that price only because is near the floor which miners need to keep mining and not lose money.. Unless something good happen there DRK is gonna die.  NODE has a real use and doesn't need expensive equipment or have a high understanding about how to mine or config or new equipments and hash rates and blah blah blah.. plus mining means "inflation".. and inflation means your coing is constantly losing value unless people keep buying and buying.. so you need a constant flux of new buyers ONLY to keep the value.. NODE doesn't have the inflation problem neither.. that's why we are gonna rocketsky. Besides PoW is too 2012.. we are almost 2015. New PoW scam-coins only exist because there is big clans, pools, groups of people who still need to squeeze their expensive equipment they bought for mining..

I will be conducting a NODE giveaway sometime this week.

I am still working through the details, but it seems like 1,000 NODE per person will be acceptable.

This is to introduce new people to NODE and so they can get an idea of how the wallet/network is.

Unfortunately my PC's CPU decided to give me problems this last weekend and I am trying to fix it asap so I can continue with projects such as this giveaway.

Good to see official facebook Page  Cheesy any idea when Node will open source? i know we are in the early stage but still any estimate about that?

Investors are convinced a developers to delay this until the end of beta.
The opening of the code in the testing phase can bring more harm than good. We can not to jeopardize people's assets until full completion of testing.

Personally, I don't understand why the guys from the other projects do not see the obvious, and when they lose the system at an early stage then apologies and excuses comes. Obviously, guys threaten the future of the project in the quest for fast money Grin

Personally, we do not hurry anywhere, especially - to a better world Grin Safety first, the rest comes after.

Ok, I'm finally accumulating a decent balance from my bter withdrawals into my wallet.  To forge, all I need to do is login and log out?  Or do I have to stay logged in?

I see guys have already answered you Smiley

If you or anybody else have 500,000 and stable access to the Internet, I'd highly recommend to keep it on your own wallet.

Today Anrdew (Paramon) told me that he forged 100,000 in less than 3 weeks (7981595429821076186).

I've had my wallet open with 500,000 node running 24/7 with minimal downtime and have forged less than 8,000 node.  Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if he's just exploiting the system.

I have had similar results.

I do not think so. As far as I know, Andie launched his client on a dedicated server at a good channel. Most likely, his client keeps more stable connection with the others.

McCaleb, who also founded now-defunct bitcoin exchange Mt Gox, later released a technical assessment that pointed to a persistent stability issue within the stellar network.

Well that says it all right there now doesn't it. Smiley

I have a question, who decided on the 500,000 nodes threshold for forging? Shouldn't it be a tiered system where more % is earned based on the amount of connectivity the user is donating + amount of node within their tier? Tiers being similar to the tax brackets.

If 500k is the starting point, doesn't this just parallel our current shitty money system where the rich get richer and there is a gaping hole of a middle class? I would think a tiered system would be more fair, or useful to all. Correct me if I'm wrong or missing the big picture all together.
