After extra time they could carry and no goalies and turn on golden goal.  No goalies? The first one to have the ball wins ... Anyway, what about my 3 proposals? All seem better. I particularly like the perpetual extra time in which both teams remove a player every 10 minutes (and play until the end of every 10 minutes). |

Naa I believe Penalty shootout is better than this one, so why fix if not broken. Talking about yesterday's game Van Gaal made a mistake when he used his 3rd replacement to take out Van Persie out of game , he should have kept it like what he did in game before to get Krul on the field. |

I think he shouldn't have let Nigel de Jong play instead, he was not fit enough yet to play 90 mins and that's why he had to replace him right after the 1st half. Replacing Van Persie with Huntelaar was a good move imo. |

They need a ceil of the match time, so they can organize their programations. Also may put too much stress on the players, speciall in hot days. Maybe a rematch nex day, like in the first WCs? |

totally agree, germany is more likely to be the world champion this year and beat argentina 2-1 As Germany playing right now 2 - 1 is not good they can beat them by some good margin because Argentina's attack is not good even Messi in full swing |

totally agree, germany is more likely to be the world champion this year and beat argentina 2-1 As Germany playing right now 2 - 1 is not good they can beat them by some good margin because Argentina's attack is not good even Messi in full swing Yeah it could be a win for Germany and dont forget they have beaten Argentina in the last 2 encounters of world cup, and both teams havent change too much. |

Germany is way too strong of a team, they have good players at every position and their goal keeper is just amazing, they will advanced for sure and win the WorldCUP!! GERMANY FTW!!

No-one ever scored during penalties again because everyone started to shit themselves. what is that supposed to mean? golden goal is played in the extra time not at the penalties I mean during extra time. With golden goal am attack even less during extra time. why? i thought with Golden Goal rule, both teams will attack each other. hoping to make a goal to win that game because if they conceded a goal, they don't have any chance to equalize. Current Silver Goal rule make a team don't make an attack, especially underdog team Any thoughts on the third place game?

I could agree more Brazil will lose, they can win only if they score fast to Holland, meaning after 15-20 min of play. For final Germany will take WC last two performances the play semis so i think this is there year.

Well they do have a giant embarrassment that was the Germany game to motivate them to fight harder here Kind of like having a fire up your butt going to go full out because the consequences of another loss in the consolation match would be bigger. |

I should play cuz he got 1 match suspension. We will see hope that Germany will win they show that they are in great form and they play best football this WC. Holland after the first game shown little disappointment but yet they can win for 3rd. |
