The funny thing is that there's actually MORE people working now on this project now than there ever was...
When it was just the scammer dev, he set things up and just left it running. All he did was just concentrate on selling. Never came on the forums, talked, improved things.. It was just 1 guy..
Now there's a whole team pushing it forward.. new better website.. a fixed up client, a much nicer logo, and more communication to the eco system.
Just an interesting observation on our species.. Sometimes it takes like a disaster to get ppl to step up.. but when it happens it can sometimes bring out the best in people. As we've seen with any natural disaster.. it always brings out these kinds of extremes.

okay now send me back some coins! I will start some negative testing.. (basically ban my own address in hardcode, to make sure that banning works)

Okay so here's what it looks like.. I temporarily banned my own address on my own test client (running linux command line daemon).. now only on that 1 client is the address banned: AT1hm5R4JSjkHsDcscsLb6co3oJ2JZft6Z is the src address. Then from my windows client, i just sent 1 coin from that banned address to a new address i created on the same client. On my linux client, this is what the debug console shows: This is when the transaction was first received via network relay.. as you can see this client immediately rejected the transaction. Now because rest of network is still running unpatched code, some other client put the transaction into a block.. and subsequently some other node tried to send my test patch client the block.. at which point it was rejected again. So this first negative test says the patch will work.. as long as everyone updates their wallets with the new client.

Is there any risk, if some people run old wallets and make some transactions to bypass this ban?

Anyone running the old client will essentially be on their own network (or blockchain fork.. i prefer to consider it their own network). In that network they will be exposed to the scam premine as it will be able to move around, if the original dev decides to do so. People running the new patched client (v1.8.2) including myself and anyone testing it right now.. are on the right network/blockchain fork.. and are essentially inoculated against the premine.. and hopefully that will be all exchanges/pools.

You're fine. You only need the wallet.dat file.

But what if the old dev sends all his coin to a new address running on the old network right before the client update. Will he be able to update the new address (client ) to the new client that you are making? and use the premined coins?

Basically the moment we build the new wallets from source code (hard fork), they will be on their own network. We make sure that whatever address at that moment held his coins will be banned. It doesn't matter if he moves them later on (even if it's before the moment we release the wallet), the new wallets won't recognize them after the hard fork.

Dear community, If you are a miner, I strongly recommend sending your hashrate to the Asia Coin Pool.mn multipool at http://ac2.pool.mnIt is already mining but it is not exchanging them to AC, that will happen after the exchanges relist us.

Thats good to know. looking forward to the fix. And thanks for fixing this.

https://www.facebook.com/asiacoinStart a revolution. Spread the word. Like our page.
This hasn't successfully been done before and it looks like that is exactly whats happening! AC to the moon! AC REVIVAL!!! fuck ya. a revolution. lets start with burning down this scamcoin and beheading the leaders. then lets riot throughout the subforum. u guys can quit pretending ur building a community. its more like bagholders anonymous - a support group for losers. If you take the effort and check the current team against the list, you will probably find out how much the supposed bagholders in the new team have. I got 13+k AC and I am a bagholder? LOL!

Thanks, received 105.11 AC from various folks.. now to test sending back.. what are your addresses (sorry block explorer is down and too lazy to check every transaction ID.. ) http://www.realstackcoin.org/acreceive.jpgPlease forgive my ignorance, but where is the lock/unlock icon? I don't see it in the screenshot (maybe one isn't necessary or you're still working on it?). Appreciate the time you're putting into this. Thanks.

It's only because he has not encrypted the wallet. If you encrypt it, the lock/unlock icon will appear. I just tried it on the new version and wallet encryption works fine.
