Hello, I have small issue that I cannot for the life of me seem to find any solutions to.

When I installed minera it was placed in /var/www/minera

I am trying to move the directory to /var/www/html/minera

but everytime I do, the program seems to stop responding. I can get to the index page but non of the widgets load and I can not go to any links.

Any one know how to fix this?

Minera MUST reside on /var/www/minera you could do a symlink to /var/www/html/minera but the "origin" must be there.

Hi
I am running 19 gekkoscience 2pac ASIC on raspberry pi 2 model b through powered hub. Everything runs ok for a while but then after around 30 minutes the pi stops responding, I cannot reach it via ssh nor the web interface. I have to unplug and replug the power in order to restart it. How do I view the log to see what's causing the freeze issue?

my rpi freezes if i try to put too much power through the usb.. most likely your hub cant support 19 sticks and its trying to get more power from the usb than the pi can give it.
to fix this i used a middle powered usb hub.. so it goes like this,
piusb>powerhub>powerhub with sticks.
.......................>powerhub with sticks.

I am using the custom cgminer from this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1764803.0

I will check the log in that directory to see if I can find anything.

I have tried doing the same setup as you mentioned but it still freezes in that setup.
I have even tried lowering the frequency down to 100mhz but it's not helping as well.

hey,

So, just started this today. Need a bit of help!

I have a raspberry pi 3 that I put Minera on. followed all of that and got it set up finally. I then plugged in a Blizzard fury to the USB and with its own PSU. The raspberry is upstairs wired to the router. The Blizzard is connected to the raspberry.

I have managed to get minera working mostly. It is set up and currently active on your pool (east.multipool) and also has the option of prohashing.com. Both of them say active and alive.  I am unable to get any hashrate at all though. Miner has been on for over an hour with no network hashrate, no pool hashrate and no shares.

Also, Minera is only picking up the Zeus as a network miner. I can't seem to find any local miner details. In the local miner settings I have selected CGminer (Dmaxl Zeus Fork) and put the correct preconfigured miner options in (I think!). But I dont think that has helped as the Zeus keeps coming up as a netowkr miner....

This is the miner real time log:

 [2017-08-02 21:14:29] Network diff set to 246
[2017-08-02 21:14:29] Stratum from pool 0 detected new block
 [2017-08-02 21:14:29] Network diff set to 9.55K
[2017-08-02 21:14:29] New block detected on network before pool notification
[2017-08-02 21:14:36] Stratum from pool 1 requested work restart
 [2017-08-02 21:14:44] Network diff set to 502
[2017-08-02 21:14:44] Stratum from pool 0 detected new block
 [2017-08-02 21:14:50] Network diff set to 1.41K
[2017-08-02 21:14:50] Stratum from pool 0 detected new block
 [2017-08-02 21:14:55] Network diff set to 246
[2017-08-02 21:14:55] Stratum from pool 0 detected new block

Any help would be much appreciated!

Cheers

So, I have borrowed a Gridseed off of a friend and set that up and it works fine. I seem to be able to get a hash rate of 355kh consistantly and I have connected to litepool and that it updating on their side as well.

With both of them plugged in and running and both plugged into usb's into the Pi I am still only picking up the gridseed.

Any ideas?

Thanks again

plug both of them into a external self powered USB hub and plug that hub into the PI it sounds like that PI can't power both together so you may need a self powered external USB hub to help .

DO both grid seed work by them self but not to gather ? .. that's a PI USB port power issue if so .

I still have one of the g-blade black gridseeds that ran at 25 MH@ 500 or less watts at the wall with one bad blade they came with a inside self powered hub board and RPI.

and for the Zeus miner i have one of those still I rebuilt for fun that still runs and is missing one blade.

I USE BFG miner, setting below with minera

Code:
--scrypt -S all -S zus:all --set zus:chips=xxx --set zus:clock=xxx

XXX i left at X because i don't know what Zeus miner you have .

you can use them all to gather i used to on the same PI .

Thanks mate.

I have seperate PSU's for both the Zeus Blizzard and the Gridseed 5 chip.

So each the pi, blizzard and gridseed are all seperately powered.

What I can't seem to do with run the Blizzard with Minera. It is working fine with the Gridseed but doesn't seem to be able to pick it up when plugged into the Pi. Does seem to find it as a network miner though I think...

I didn't say PSU, USB hub ...that has it's own power i linked two to give you some idea

https://www.amazon.com/SUPVIN-SuperSpeed-Compact-Adapter-MacBooks/dp/B01C8NQP1O/ref=sr_1_9?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1501796537&sr=1-9&keywords=usb+hub+3.0

or

https://www.amazon.com/Anker-7-Port-Adapter-Charging-iPhone/dp/B014ZQ07NE/ref=sr_1_6?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1501796537&sr=1-6&keywords=usb+hub+3.0

or any USB Hub that has it own power cord or can be plugged in to power it.. PSU are needed to power those miner or turns it on but that's about all it is turn it on..adds power  so you may also need a self powered usb hub if the miner work by them self  but not to gather on a pi.

as for it seeing the zeus miner do you api access in the command line when you run it something like this.

this code is for BFG i don't like CG miner...but that's me.

so i don't know what to use for the CGminer fork in minera or cpuminer you might be using that works with gridseeds but not with Zeus miners, bfg and The forked version of CGMiner in minera works with both miners while the CPUMINER version only works with gridseeds if i rember right .

Code:
sudo ./bfgminer -o  your mining pool and port -u user for that pool -p pasword --scrypt -S all -S zus:all --set zus:chips=xxx --set zus:clock=xxx --api-listen --api-allow W:127.0.0.1/24,W:192.168.1.0/24

mainly this

Code:
--api-listen --api-allow W:127.0.0.1/24,W:192.168.1.0/24

That lets minera see it with the network miner part ... in minera .

ahhhh right! Sorry - I understand you now!

I have ordered a USB hub and hopefully that will arrive and sort it tomorrow.

And no, it picks up the Zeus when it is connected to the pi as a "network miner" when you click "scan" on Minera.

I haven't touched the API settings.

I think you may be right. I have got another SD card and put raspbian on it and then directly BFGminer. Ran through the whole installation and finally got to the end and tocheck that the pi could find the Zeus and got this:

pi@raspberrypi:~/bfgminer $ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 192f:0916 Avago Technologies, Pte.
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0bda:8176 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8188CUS 802.11n WLAN Adapter
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0424:ec00 Standard Microsystems Corp. SMSC9512/9514 Fast Ethernet Adapter
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0424:9514 Standard Microsystems Corp.
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
pi@raspberrypi:~/bfgminer $

So either it isn't getting enough power from the pi or it is broken I think...!

I think a powered (and good) USB HUB is needed for that.

Can you use gridseed with this software and is there any limit of how many you can add?

Sorry for being studpid.  Smiley
