Yes. Total number of coins will be the same. Our statement regarding the total number of coins is also the same.

Quote
Maximum coin will not be reached any time soon. It is basically impossible to accurately assess how many DIG will be circulating the markets in about a year or even three years from now because the Digit block reward is driven by demand(difficulty).

Did you get synced? It was rather fast for me when i opened my wallet last time. Now i have it opened 24/7 to support the network a little bit.
The problem is that not many keep their wallet open anymore, because soon there will be a a new launch.

Just filled out the form with the required information.
Does this means that in the meantime, staking won't work and that I should keep my wallet closed to avoid anything weird from happening with my balance?

Please keep your original Digit Wallets opened until the 28th of May.

Staking will not change your balance in block explorer. You can erase your original Digit client & files on the 29th of May, which is when we will take down the static nodes.

There are now over 60 successfully signed unique user addresses in our database!
Final notifications have been sent to three users who still have not successfully signed their messages.

Breaking news!

We have decided to go with the X13 hashing function instead of X11.

X11 has became extremely popular lately which consequently is the reason why it's the new primary target for asic manufacturers. There are concerns that X11 asics are already being developed. However, X13 is more power-efficent, more resistant to asics and has no drawbacks compared to X11. We apologize for any inconvenience this late announcement has caused and hope that all Digit fans support us in this decision.

Im sure there will be pools soon after launch. Im probably going to try solo for at least few hours. Depends how fast difficulty jumps.

only in crypto is a cheaper more efficient solution shunned.

x13 is a mistake, im not even sure where to rent x13 mining rigs.

not to mention the new x11 miner gives a 30-50% boost in hashrate

asic will come no matter what you do, using a less efficient mining algo than x11 just to delay it a little longer is just silly.

i cannot find any that you can rent and it seems that minep.it will not have the pool back or any where that has any x13 pools .will they bother just for one coin

Setting up X13 pool is the same as setting up X11 pool.

Since Digit mining lasts 1 year, the asics are not really a threat for X13. We can safely mine it with our CPUs and GPUs.
I like the fact that X13 keeps my graphic card cooler while mining. 27C outside is hot enough. I dont need any extra heat.  Wink
I also like this rising interest rate a lot. This should generate some additional buy pressure.
