Great to see good things happening. So much more to come as well!
And of course, the better the price the more investments we can kick off...
And there's oodles of those in the pipelines!

As R&D Director of the BlackCoin Foundation I second that. The amazing stuff we cook up on a daily basis baffles me sometimes. Not including all the fun stuff we work on privately -- in secret. hehe. *Cough* BLKBox *Cough*

waiting for this to have volume of over 1m usd at coinmarketcap.com.
If you wait for $1 million volume, you'll probably be buying at 30K+ sat. I'm not expecting that, but this price movement is showing long term downward trend breaking, much like DOGE recently. Is BCP merged mining LTC and DOGE? If not, they should get on that asap and get the Chinese scrypt ASICs over to BCP. While ASICs may not be the mine and hold type, they can still go a long way in showing overall interest. Volume is low across the board in the entire market, so just getting back to a sustained 10 BTC (as opposed to the 50 BTC back in May) of buy pressure could be sufficient to easily maintain a long term upward price movement at these low prices.

One simple question: Do you guys manually type in your passphrase (for the encrypted wallet) or do you copy it out of a password manager or usb stick? I ask this because after copying the passphrase anyone could see it on my computer typing CTRL+V if i forget to delete the cache. There's no physical access to the computer but i also want to be secured if someone breaks into the system. So is it enough to run CCleaner after copying the passphare into the cache to make sure no one catches it? Thank you if you can tell me what's the best option.

Hehe 15 GH/s scrypt and ~18 GH/s total normalized minning power. Nice but still, everything lower than 10-15 mil marketcap is joke

You are a little bit lazy. Here you have an answer from our reddit by btclaw http://www.reddit.com/r/blackcoin/comments/2eyyi1/what_makes_blackcoin_or_any_altcoin_better_or/Speed. Bitcoin is slow, taking at least 10 minutes per block and sometimes, much, much longer. Blackcoin has blocks in less than a minute. Blackcoins speed makes it more practical to use and preferred for applications like BlackHalo. Proof of Stake. Bitcoin is difficult to mine. More and more computing power goes to mine it, causing a high cost of mining and high carbon footprint. Blackcoin is Proof of Stake and not "mined". You will earn 1% annual interest by staking Blackcoin, which also helps secure its network. That also makes Blackcoin a good altcoin "savings bond". Security. Bitcoin is vulnerable to attacks by those who control 51% of the mining power. This potential is already possible due to mining pools. Blackcoin is not susceptible to this attack because it is not mined. Proof of Stake 2.0 is far more secure, requiring someone with 51% of the coins to make a similar attack, and coin age issues addressed by Proof of Stake 2.0 dilute the effectiveness of such an attack as well. I like asdffsdf's points on how that someone who purchased 51% of the existing Blackcoins has far less incentive to ruin the network. Other Issues. I enjoy Blackcoin's community and active developers. Blackwave Labs, for example, created BlackBit, an open source and improved version of VeriBit that allows Blackcoin to be used where Bitcoin is used. I'm looking forward to BlackHalo and using my bc to use for the required escrows (thanks dzimbeck!). I also use Coinkite, the first major exchange/point of sale service that picked up Blackcoin. Blackcoin was the first coin to use the multipool concept for mining other coins and paying the miners in Blackcoin, creating constant buy pressure. I don't see Bitcoin being able to fix its major flaws. I see Blackcoin as Bitcoin 2.0.

1% of staking coins. And obviously not everybody stakes. Usually there are about 15mill coins at stake, so inflation is yearly 1% of that amount.

This is another good question and the reason I contacted BitcoinTrezor regarding security to see if they supported POS. They responded to my email with this: TREZOR is BIP0044 compliant wallet, this means it support any number of bitcoin-like coins or altcoins. It is only on developers of each altcoin and wallet service whether they are going to support TREZOR in their software. So, you need to ask developers of a Blackcoin wallet. Best regards, Martin SatoshiLabs | TREZOR The Bitcoin Safe Can POS coins like Blackcoin support BIP0044?

Who runs the Blackcoin facebook page? It's totally dead. This is a huuuuuge missed opportunity by ignoring the Facebook page. I will volunteer to post updates, send invites, etc if I can get mod roles for the page. https://www.facebook.com/pages/BlackCoin/1401819626759810If the admin of this page posts here, shoot me a PM, and I can help out.

I have messaged the blackcoin page on facebook before trying to get posts and they did update for a while. I tried to like and share, but am hoping it will continue and be consistent.
