guys, could somebody tell me something about BC used instead of LTC as favorite alt?
What does it mean?

thanks

- Average confirmation time 30s...  ltc 6min.

- Blackcoin can not be mined so cannot be dumped to...(1% inflation while LTC 30% this year )

- Litecoin and community is focused around mining pricing while blackcoin as "bag holders" have to improve coin itself to make it attractive for people.
Anyway all POS to expand need to rise in development to be more and more attractive.

Both coins have fans all depends what you are looking for Blackcoin is more for saving and fast spending if you want.
LTC is for hmm... spending because of high inflation rate today + ASIC minig.

I don't believe there's a fee. [...]

Took me a while to locate it... Check this post for prices.

A fee is not a problem, as long as there are strict quality checks.

Figured it was something like that, and to be honest I don't see a problem... other than I think the price should be 20BTC (note that I'm not saying it's worth that - but it would seriously cut down on the complete shitcoins that get listed).

On a somewhat related note I especially enjoyed the response directly below that post you linked. Smiley  Quite colorful!  I lol'd.

The Chinese Foundation Chapter has been established!

Hereby we proudly announce that the Chinese Foundation Chapter has been established! Its purpose is to encourage the Chinese BlackCoin community members to make more contribution, and a public fund has also been set up. At the moment only BlackCoin donations will be accepted (you may find the wallet address in the below link to Google Docs). The donation is on voluntary basis, you are welcome to donate any amount freely. The public fund will never be used for investment purposes, instead it will only be used to award those who actively contribute to the development and/or promotion of BlackCoin, in this way we want to maximize the enthusiasm and involvement of the Chinese BlackCoin community.

The public fund is managed by luckyjerry, and the ledger is saved on Google Docs, which is completely open to the public. Anyone can review the source, destination, amount and usage of each transaction, and the wallet address as well as each transaction is fully traceable via the blockchain of BlackCoin. Please send the TXid and amount of your transaction to luckyjerry or me after the transaction is completely confirmed. Thank you!

The ledger of the public fund can be reviewed here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19DAogaa1B4v6vKnd7ZlDexFV306H0YEUeBvNhHe3hFM/edit?%20usp=sharing (Gmail account required)

As far as this thread is posted, we have received 14 donations, with a total amount of 8,635.33888888 BC, very impressive!

With this fund, the Chinese BlackCoin community will be able to launch more projects, and people who have made contribution will receive some reward, although the amount might be small, it's a kind of encouragement.

We will ensure each income and outcome is open and transparent to the public, everyone can check the ledger with the above address at any time. We warmly welcome more donations, and the ledger is open for your supervision!

I'd like to know too - it isn't the first time I've heard people suggesting BC may displace LTC. Maybe someone's wishful thinking, or maybe there's something to it?

One of many steps to make BC more acceptable around .
Bittrex + BC centric exchange can be interesting testing field.

In future if solution will be popular other exchanges may follow to replace LTC or if not to add BC pairs
to use blackcoin as arbitrage tool.

"Earlier this week Bittrex announced the possibility of replacing Litecoin trading pairs with BC" is taken from >>>> http://www.coinssource.com/blackcoin-china-bittrex-and-more/

Can you post the announcement from Bittrex (the source)?

Can you think of one reason (not more) why they would replace the ltc market with a bc based one and not just add the bc market?

Because ltc is a total clone of btc with no development and will inevitability fail.

It hasn't failed yet and IMO it's not going to fail as long as people and businesses trust it.

LTC is not dead indeed, it's very widely used and Bittrex just does not have the LTC volume (nor does Mintpal). They can get a slice of the BC volume, however.

.What is Cloverdex platform?.

Poloniex just do this with XMR too, replacing LTC.
LTC is no more innovative.
Exchange platform are choosing innovative coin.

Because despite having confirmation times much faster than BTC, it's still a relative snail compared to BC.  In the case of arbitrage, just as it is in point-of-sale transactions... the speed of the transaction itself is paramount.  Possibly as important as the security of that transaction... and definitely much, much more important that whether or not it's possible for the transaction to be anonymous.
