If anyone is having trouble importing the VRM address from the ICO or from the top 250 balance/staker bounty, please follow these instructions: http://www.vericoin.info/downloads/vrm-import-guide.pdf

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the
subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The
subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Once VRC/VRM pairing is added to exchanges, and AuxPOW blocks are coming into the VRC network, VRC stands to benefit the most here. Your contact at Blue Lynx seems great, we're going to meet together as a team to discuss in the next week and get back to him... we've been pretty busy as I am sure you can imagine. Thanks for the hookup.

For me everything was fine .Sync has been successfully I got all VRM Agree. Worked as expected , thanks to the developers planning. I guess the lack of activity on this BB is testament to that : ppl generally only comment if something is wrong ! I would advise anyone unsure about the import of ICO VRM into the wallet to check their ICO address on the blockchain explorer first. https://chainz.cryptoid.info/vrm/If the ICO VRM is in its correct address then it is fine : only needs importing to the wallet if you want to transfer or sell it.

Solo Mining sucks. Is there or will there be a mining pool for Verium?

Mining is meant to be difficult. The devs are trying to build a solid, digital commodity through work...as in computational work which gives some of Bitcoin its value. Verium possibly in the future could compete...with Bitcoin as it does solve a serious problem with scaling. Don't forget that Bitcoin was originally developed to be mined with a simple PC using a CPU until someone was able to figure out how to us a GPU and ASICs where born. Verium will be very difficult to mine this way with hit high memory requirement. Making something difficult to obtain may give it more value and be something sought after. When paired with Vericoin we will have a true commodity/currency dynamic. As for pool mining I'm sure someone will come up with a way to pool CPU power, cloud mining seems like a possibility.

What happened to this thread? Was wondering about that too To much drinking and drugs....Doug threw up Pat's pimp hat, and David was screaming like a girl running around in his underwear saying "Verium is here! Verium is here! The end is near!" I think it was the shrooms. Anyways cops where called and there was a shoot out and everyone was killed by the massive heat from the supercomputer mining machine "Mr. Verium". Everyone's dead that's what happened and I'm sticking to that story;-)

In either case, I still plan to trade VeriCoin for the Commodity Verium, just to hold it because I am sure it's going to go up in value. Maybe not to where BitCoin is, but I think the pain is very undervalued. Bothe VeriCoin and Verium should be in the dollars. Will happen one day.

Don't forget that Bitcoin was originally developed to be mined with a simple PC using a CPU until someone was able to figure out how to us a GPU and ASICs where born.
This is so true. I had been with Litecoin since birth, one of the reasons being it took it back to giving the ability for any computer to mine. I won't say there was no way in hell that Satoshi didn't know ASICS and crazy crazy rigs would be at the level of the business it is today with mining and pools, but I do not believe it was the intention, and again, why something like Litecoin I believe was even able to get footing and literally create a whole new genre of currencies with "Altcoins", and I really loved how Litecoin had faster transactions and anyone could mine. Now we have Verium and something really new and beautiful with having this coin pair existing. What a time to be alive The future is now, if you profit, make sure to spend too. I have been a user of Veribit within the Vericoin wallet for many a Gyft cards in my day and will no doubt be grabbing a few Amazon gift cards soon, but really hope to see VRC merchant use.

That's exactly what we need, some VeriCoin merchants. At least some websites that accept VeriCoin, as well as other currencies too. Why not.
