This coin is very old, there is no interest in it, in its growth, it is also limited, so to multiply the money, I would not buy it, except that if there was a market manipulator

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Hey Guys
just got off the phone with Kevin from Blue Lynx Marketing
Really good conversation.
He hired a veteran ad maker who has done ads for pepsi, world of warcraft etc. who is going to be creating our first display ad campaign targeted to the crypto community primarily, to be launched in the short term.
Meanwhile they are working on a more mainstream targeted ad campaign targeting fintech investors primarily, where they will hire a writer to write a blockchain basics white paper of sorts, to introduce them to crytpo with, then follow up with an intro to VeriCoin.  Kevin will be coming into the chat next week to talk with the core community members to gather resources, ideas, links, and their expertise.  Ball is rolling, first ad campaign is on the horizon!

Is Vericoin a deterministic wallet: i.e. all keypairs derived from passphrase or is it a hierarchical deteministic wallet.

Looking for answer relative to this article.  http://bitzuma.com/posts/five-ways-to-lose-money-with-bitcoin-change-addresses/

thank you.  Please PM answer

Solarcoin (§ SLR) are like airmiles. Each 1 Mhw generated gets you §1 free. Solarcoins can purchase what others will trade: USD,BTC, Soy candles..etc.

Also another question:  Vericoin is showing out of sync blocks in the explorer: i.e. block height is out of sync with block time in the Raw TX record.  Can anyone advise.  Here is an out of sync block example:  https://chainz.cryptoid.info/vrc/block.dws?1609671.htm

thanks.

The Android wallet which is not officially supported uses HD as the address mechanism. Our official wallets do not and are of the same type as Bitcoin core.

If you're talking about how the reported block time is after than the time reported in the subsequent block, it's within the limits of the block allowance. The reported block time is allowed to be within a few minutes of the consensus time due to latency.

1609671 2017-02-14 16:45:58
1609672 2017-02-14 16:44:13

As you can see, the block time is reported as 16 seconds after the block time of the next accepted block. It's partially an artifact of shorter block times (1 min for VRC vs 10 min for BTC, for example). Since your PC clock could be off by a minute or two, as long as it's within the accepted window and properly meets the other criteria and is broadcast to a majority of nodes, it will be accepted.
