I'm with you on this one, No need for animals, Need to add one or two more features.

I am pretty sure Mintpal's decision makers already have their eyes on this coin, It will go there for sure and will have the same path as crypt and vrc.

After thinking about it, and Mitchel Mint has the same Idea. We need to keep the Mast name...nothing wrong with that part http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/mast.

But the Dog/ Doge animal link is putting people off. We need to launch a full frontal assault on social media once we get that part sorted out.

MASTIFFCOIN = MASTCOIN

What do you think of that ? It would allow us to keep MAST as a short name and stay away from the animal aspect.

We're watching the rebranding discussion closely and are considering all options.  Smiley

I've been away for a few weeks. Was there a wallet update that I need to do guys?

There was one update released shortly after the Proof-of-Work phase ended.

I think a name change is a death sentence for the coin. To gain popularity it needs either consistent high volume, pumps, or get higher on mintpal voting list.
What it does from there will depend on how the recycler idea catches on.
Rebranding will just add confusion.

One option that we've discussed is that we could "rebrand" from MastiffCoin to just MastCoin, with a simple, clean logo. This would be sort of a Cinni-style approach, where the name doesn't have much meaning for itself, but its short, clean, and retains the exchange symbol. Something like this one that I just made:

listen man, sometimes i talk shit online so don't take this the wrong way, but man coding is your thing, not art  Grin

i think we should first vote on whether we keep the same symbol, MAST, or if we come up with a whole new symbol. once we decide that, then we can focus on the new name and logo.

i personally think it will be difficult finding something using MAST, but I'll try to think of something. if nobody comes up with anything good we should consider a new symbol.

Yeah I'd like to point that out as well, we're discussing the rebrand but I'm seeing a lot more new faces all of a sudden, I'm not exactly sure why tho.
