The blockchain is currently moving a bit slowly because not enough people are running the wallet, and exchanges don't stake their coins. We're working on and testing code for a wallet update to improve that, and also to reduce the maturity time of mined PoS blocks to encourage everyone to more actively stake their coins.

yeah at 15% i think i'm gonna pull most of my coins off bittrex. it's pretty clear that this is gonna be a great long term coin and 15% is quite a bit that i don't want to miss out on. keeping them off the exchange will prevent me from selling early. |

15 % is way too much. Just look at Mintcoin if you want to see what happens when your interest is that high. Mintcoin's downward trend isn't due to the 20% interest rate, but exterior causes. One was someone trying to sabotage the coin and that combined with greed to buy and sell 1 satoshi higher created massive sell walls which ultimately led to its spiral down. Now back to the topic of the 15-20% interest rate. It is not at all high, let us assume that 50% of users are staking everyday for a year and getting the full 15% ( which is a pretty high assumption ), it mean's that the total coins will only rise by 7.5%. If the marketcap was $1,000,000 at the start of the year the market cap would only need to go up by $75,000 by the end of the year just to keep the same price(by further assuming that everyone sold their stake). This is in no way too high. |

of course it will rise in the next days. the last of the superblocks are still trickling to the exchanges. another half a day or so and all the superblocks will have hit the exchanges. |
