Hash over 1GH!!! I think something big is up....
Funny how you keep clutching at straws. Miners constantly and automatically check the mining profitability of all altcoins. Since the recent rise of the BTC price, CSC mining has become profitable in $ terms and that's why the miners are moving in.

It doesn't really matter. If and when Prypto/DWS announce their first customer(s) actually live on a CSC based solution, things will start moving for CSC. Until then, it is wishful thinking, hope and speculation. On the CSC trading side, there is a notable and significant uptick in bid orders on Alcurex (but not on Cryptopia), with over 2 BTC bidding at prices >1000 sat. This is is still far from big money, but a 10-fold increase compared to the previous situation on the order book where the entire bid down to 1 sat used to add up to no more than 0.2 BTC or so. On the other hand, this has been mirrored by a significant increase on the offer side, with hundreds of thousands of coins now on offer (at higher prices), where previously almost none were available. All this points to higher liquidity, which is good.

The anouncment will just come in the right time. Wouldnt surprise me to reach 10k for Christmas Merry Christmas to you guys Agree. I have the feeling that the announcement for CSC will be huge, especially if announced during Xmas time as it may really bring lots of attention towards it. Also, reaching a value of 10k is not far from becoming a reality, and it may increase even more as new & exciting updates for CSC come by. Thus, if it really gets adopted by real world casinos, and gambling sites then I see the dream of CSC reaching $1 and above become a reality real soon. Those who buy in now at cheap price will benefit from this in the near future. Just sharing my thoughts.

I hope so too but too many times has this happened and delayed and hyped up and delayed. Its like I mentioned before dont spend a great deal at all on this untill something at least gets confirmed becasue there will still be time to jump on the train if it does happen

Not sure whether there will really be that much time for cheap coins. So good luck with that strategy... keep in mind theres just a few btc buying until we reach 50k. Well for me, its more like buying as much as possible at low prices. All that hasing spike seems to indicate to some interesting anouncement for christmas

Can a couple of you do me a favor and confirm the that this code is working. (install it on your dev environment and see that it is functional. It will take like 10 minutes) https://github.com/CartmanSPC/p2poolIts xpool.net code, one of your pools. I dare say casinocoins only p2pool node. I have tried contacting the author of that repo and pool but to no avail just yet. p2pool nodes are important and i would like to see more p2pool nodes up please. Also whoever is in charge of updating the op and website. Could you bring all your links into december 2016 thanks. (some sites are non existant even)

All that hasing spike seems to indicate to some interesting anouncement for christmas No it doesn't. The increase in hashing power is due to miners moving in based on automatic algorithms calculating which altcoins are profitable to mine.

Barbeq, I dont think so. Csc mining is not profitable right now. In order to be profitable, we must at least double in price. Miners dont want to loose money. They can currently mine profitable coins and exchange them for CHEAP coins over at cryptopia....

Barbeq is correct, when price spikes happen like the last days, profit pools switch in and raise the hash until either diff raises or price falls again. Most people do not mine for fun only, they want to recover costs. Though 1GHs is barely nothing compared to the scrypt power available today, this could be one small hobby miner alone.

Someone buying 2 - 3 BTC is hardly a price spike. That's just someone taking a position in 125k coins or so.

You do have a point there mate. Several announcements have been delayed, yet with one of them at least to even become a reality. But in the bright side, if this coin really gets some traction and announcements go according as promised then I can see it reaching new heights. I have limited myself into buying a small amount of coins, just in case, in order to benefit from price increase in the future, if it happens. The amount invested was not that much so at least I can rest assured that my investments won't lose too much when the price declines. Just sharing my thoughts.

I am not actively involved in anything crypto these days. Everything I've done is in maintenance mode at this point but yes, the code is working. As far as your question about it connecting to the daemon...make sure there are available connections available. Try stopping the daemon for a bit then starting it back up. Also make sure you are using the right ports (--bitcoind-rpc-port 47970 --bitcoind-p2p-port 47950).

Miners' cost is in fiat, so when the BTC price rises and CSC/BTC price remains flat, then CSC mining becomes profitable. That's the explanation for the hashing power spike. Now hashing power is back down, as the miners have moved on to the next altcoin, and you guys have creamed in your pants over nothing.

Seeing that multipool spike the network many times (other alts in the past), as I was mining on the P2Pool & auto switched to Hash to Cash when the price jump happen. Hash to Cash even shows on their main page, Diff Net Pool Time est. Progress % LTC profit% BTC/Gh 6.36 372.1 Mh/s 9.1 Mh/s 47m 43s 176% 104% 0.0351), xpool also shows the spikes if you change the chart scale from Days to Months & why the P2Pool needs more dedicated miners. //still remember the days of mining pools & the big 51% info charts of BTC

Also make sure you are using the right ports (--bitcoind-rpc-port 47970 --bitcoind-p2p-port 47950). Thanks, my dev enviro is ubuntu 16.04 lts and the cs client is the latest as of 3 days ago. I pulled your code and cant get it to connect to the node. Its giving that stupid ...taking a while. Common reasons for this include all of bitcoind's connection slots being used.... (apparently happens when the prefix is incorrect, as you may well already know.) My coin client config has all of the relevant and required settings. It connects to the coin daemon rpcport just fine. I've checked the pchmessage on the client code and it correlates to your prefix configs. So i have zero clue at this point what is my problem other then something in ubuntu 16.04 preventing a connection. Which is a long shot. Or the new client code preventing p2p communication. Also a long shot in my opinion. or I believe it could be to do with not being able to find your p2p node being that there is like only one of you on the entire network. I've attemtped to add your node but to no avail in terms of the p2pool working I tried to get a p2pool node up because i believe the project could do with a few more but i cant seem to do it in my environment and wondered if anyone could just take a few minutes to try and re-create my problem or prove that its not happening for them to. Using the newest client code and this p2pool code https://github.com/CartmanSPC/p2poolThanks. P.S Any chance you could refresh your nodes (p2pool for casincoin and the client for it?) I did throw some hash at your node but it acted very strangely and wouldn't hash over 1kh/s. Payment for the hash i sent it did show up on the network ledger however.
