I have no idea where is the supercoin.conf file and where I have to enter these numbers.

http://www.super-coin.net/supercoinconf.zip

Unzip and put in the SuperCoin directory:

Windows Directory: AppData\Roaming\SuperCoin
MAC Directory: ~/Library/Application Support/SuperCoin

Thanks for the support, everything actually given in the OP's FAQ section.

Yes it is, but I think brookefinancial was whining that there is no link for the supercoin.conf on the website...
The ports and initial nodes are listed there, but if someone (see also: noob) doesn't know what the hell a .conf is then they'll have a tough time...

Can you add the supercoin.conf file to the Supercoin212.zip with instructions for the noobs? Or at least a link to it on the site?
And maybe add the topic "can't sync wallet" to the FAQ on the site as well?

Not everyone in the crypto market is a geek. I'm coming from the world of finance so I don't know what .conf file is.

I'm not the first, won't be the last. So yes, this is good guidance you just wrote. If .conf file is in the Supercoin212.zip there should not be a problem.

3D Printing and Bitcoin, that's pretty cool.

Thanks man it's working. But wow, they need to do something about it, this is VERY unplesant and NOT accessible for new users.

So every new users who download the Wallet they have to find .conf file somewhere? And then they have to figure out that it has to be in the AppData/Roaming/Supercoin?

Maybe for you guys this is easy as 1+1 = 2, but I don't have much background in computers and this was not easy to figure out by myself.

That's why we are community and have this thread. There is no one yet unanswered about sync issues.

Listen man, I just spent 10 minutes on your website. When I got to "downloads" there is no "conf" file. When I go to FAQ there is no explanation about that. Call me stupid but for a new user of the wallet this was a bad experience.

Hey i just updated it
This is the blog developer omission. anyway, it's fixed as you can see.

What is the #PoSA thing with the Cloak? PoS Protocol Anon.

So they are working on "anonymous" features too? Is it competition or we're not developping the same thing?

My reading on their whitepaper seems to me that all the process is wrong. They actually used an implicated trust system, but this system assumes everyone is good, and they will ban bad guys if they find it (i.e. cheated).

This clearly is not working. As we all know, anyone can create any number of addresses. A cheater, using a new address, just need to cheat once, then move on to another address. The so called PoSA system is wrong in that it has no way to force people randomly elected to follow the rule, there's no restriction at all, because if these "elected" nodes cheat, they don't lose anything.

The SuperCoin Phase 2 uses a completely different system. From what I understand, they use multisig addresses and multisig transactions. These transactions will be approved and executed only with many parties agree at the same time. This means that they must have a pool of escrow service, where all parties participating will have some assets in it, so you are forced not to cheat, otherwise you lose your assets in the escrow. This is a fundamental differences that form the true trustless system.

I see many claimed trustless system, but many have no idea what it is. Grin

BTW, I posted a new thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=713795.new#new

I welcome Cloakcoin's dev come to discuss, I am pretty sure they don't have a trustless system, but only a poorly designed trust system (which is useless).

That's why you should stick to SUPER. This is going to explode other coins "seem to be good" or "will be good"
When they falling down
We will stand tall.

You should not lose this great chance and be part of the history.

We are damn good developer team and you know what, we know this. It feels us good :-)

Well I got a very good answer from strasbourg, this is exactly what I wanted!

I am actively promoting Supercoin on twitter. I don't have many followers (900 I would say), but the tweets are very positive if you look for #supercoin. Promoting Phase II, tweeting when SUPER is rising or when I see a chart pattern.

Really? Supercoin is trying to attack Cloakcoin? Get your shitcoin in order before you attempt to slander a real coin with 7 full time developers.

Feel free to download the new PoSA wallet and demonstrate your tinfoil hat conspiracy.

I opened a thread to discuss, if you have any points. But if you know nothing, better get out of here. It's not for FUD, it is for truth.

Really? Supercoin is trying to attack Cloakcoin? Get your shitcoin in order before you attempt to slander a real coin with 7 full time developers. Shameless attempt at promoting your shitcoin. You should be ashamed of yourself for being that stupid. Don't try to attach the Supercoin name to Cloakcoin.

Feel free to download the new PoSA wallet and demonstrate your tinfoil hat conspiracy.

I'm not sure there is any attack and I don't see why you are worried by a coin with $195 000 of market cap when Cloak is running over $4 million.
