I compared the source against the original code to make sure there was nothing malicious. Code is fine, nothing bad has been added.
It seems to have some stability issues. I had to reboot all systems before it would work. Some of the systems then had other issues after and I had to go back to the original sgminer-sph. My 265 (7850) system is working well. One of my 270 systems worked but a few cards went sick quick. My other 270 system is now having issues booting. I also tried it on a 290x rig and I couldn't get it working, X crashes and I get a seg fault.
Unfortunately most of my rigs are remote so I can't cold boot them easily.

good job, tested one 7950 2% ver 2,735 Mh -k darkcoin -g 1 --thread-concurrency 8192 --intensity 18 --gpu-engine 1100 --gpu-memclock 1250 --gpu-powertune 10
-X11mod 2,730 Mh -k x11mod -I 15 -w 256 --gpu-threads 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-engine 1100 --gpu-memclock 1250 --gpu-powertune 20
Tried these settings on my Sapphire 7950 and didn't work. So I'm running it 'as is' right now, with the provided config (changed pool ofcourse). I'm getting 2.3 - 2.4 Mh/s vs. 1.8 Mh/s normally What I do notice is that my card runs at 59 degrees now vs. 71 before. Does that mean I should be able to push it more? this one is 7950 gigabite, try use 14,3 or 14,4 drivers

I tweaked sgminer to run more than 10 gpu threads. Running 12 now, more crashes it. It has little to no impact.
Its defined in the file driver-opencl.c - from line 324

First of all, great work reverse engineering the kernel!
My 280x/270 rig is running wonderfully.
There is definitely something missing though.
I have 2 other rigs with all MSI 290 cards in them.
With the 2% version, I can keep my normal settings that I've been using in x11 sgminer, and each card will pull 3.5mhs with no adjustments whatsoever. That config includes each card set at Intensity 20.
With this version (windows compiled version) It just crashes the drivers, and will require some tinkering with the settings.
So clearly there is something different between girino's 2% fee version, and lasybear/Remember's versions.
Either way, awesome work guys!

This is what I am working on right now, digging through the assembly of the 2% version to see what is wrong with this version. But honestly, whatever compiler he used has generated the instructions in a really weird fashion that is slowing me down.

seems to be working ok,
but my 280x GPU's are running at over 70 degs on the windows compile. That's not very cool.

290x/win7 x64/13.12catbefore(2%-version): -w 256 -tc 20481 -g 1 -I 21 -----> 3.85mhs after(free-version): -w 256 -tc 20481 -g 2 -I 15 ----->2.75mhs no way for -g 1/-w64/-w128-parameters - it`s always 2.6mhs or less PS What are the optimal settings for 290x/290? I still think that the lack off "-I" (crash of miner when "-I" is above 15) is the main issue in reaching more mhs.

Cool, you guys are way smarter than I am when it comes to this stuff. All I'm capable of doing is setting up a development environment in Ubuntu to compile from source lol. The only help I can offer is testing :-) Take your time. I'm sure you'll figure it out!

Try to raise -g parameter. -g 4/-g 6 - no way -g 8 - crashes I`ve moved x11mod.cl-file to original sph-miner directory - original sgminer.exe(1.2mb size) crashes when is started So, I`ve replaced original sgminer.exe(1.2mb size) with the sgminer.exe-mod(1.1mb size) - the same result (poor mhs) and got crash when is started with -I 16 or more parameter.

Thanks, lasybear, im your fan now) The most stable and simple version. Hats off
It works even better for me than girinos miner, usin i 15 g 2. just great. btw, +50khs to each one 7870 and 270. (1820kh,2004kh)

Your worksize is too high. Here's what I use: Sapphire 290x and use the following to get 3.475M: kernel: x11mod intensity: 15 worksize: 128 lookup-gap: 2 thread-concurrency: 8192 (I had better luck with lower TC, probably because we are using multiple threads) gpu-threads: 6 gpu-engine: 1050 (1075 works for a slight improvement and 1100 crashes my driver) gpu-memclock: 1250 gpu-powertune: 0 Let me know how that goes or if you find a better settings.

Same problem for a 290/W7/cat14.4 2% version : I 15-> 2800 Mhs, I 19 ->3900 Mhs free version: I 15-> 3050 Mhs, crashes for I > 15 On BAMT 1.3, I only get 2850 Mhs for I 15 and crashes for I > 15. Edit : 3080 Mhs with TC 8192 and gpu-threads 2
