I vote in favor of further controlling obvious trolling/fuding posts by topic moderator. This is getting out of hand. Remember why this moderated thread was made in the first place?
There are serious, legitimate members who are concerned that a moderated thread only creates negative criticism and fear in peoples' minds, and they are RIGHT, thus the price is affected.
But the thing that is happening in the last 10 pages is having a negative effect on price ANYWAY.
What I suggest: Tesla keeps this thread tightly moderated. Then trolls can say w/e they want in unmoderated thread, and throw as much mud as they like, but we will have achieved one major thing: we will have this topic clean, with positive feedback and bug testing ONLY. That means that if chaeplin, and every chaeplin out there wants to test and try something, he is free to do so, but the next troll that replies to his findings gets immediately moderated.
I repeat, this is NOT to prevent people from expressing their opinion or stress concerning facts about the coin, but rather to KEEP THE TOPIC TIDY AND CLEAN, so new investors and traders know what's happening with the development at any given time.
I will suggest this as well in XC forum.
The line between trolling & concern or a simple question is sometimes thin. Especially when some old posts in the DRK thread is enough to label someone as a troll. I second your idea but at the same time am happy it is not up to me to moderate:D Anyway, tonight seems like a quiet night for discussion so maybe tomorrow. for now, i really do not understand why so many think XC - DRK is some sort of battle. The market for anon seems gigantic to me & the part of that i wish to join is more interested in the infrastructure / framework & real world usage around it all than anything else. Also do not care about the price @ this moment or the current trend, im here because of the tech, because i have a lot of regulair retailers as customers that want crypto but with anon & a clean reputation & if my initial investment will pay out in a couple of months or so to make my family happy:) If there was a dedicated tech thread on the forum with some serious talk going on i would be there, but at the same time say that can only be temporary. For any coin to grow, the community needs to grow. A closed forum is not enough Why dont you start one by posting your questions from earlier over there? Hope this will kick of as Well! |

The price of BTC is falling out right now and many alts will follow suit unless there is a quick rebound in BTC price. I dont have the first clue on why the volume from US markets is so large ATM, its usually China that has 3/4 of the traffic, but for whatever reason there is much trading going on in the US based markets... we might be in a rough spot right now in terms of current value unless China wakes up and eats the cheap BTC. BTC was around 657 on the 11th and now has fallen to under 600.

If this is true the current drop in btc/fiat is no issue, the rates stays the same But some friends like to think of the price of a alt in fiat so say 1XC is about $0.90, If this is true the drop in the btc rate should not affect the alt, the price stays $0.90 so the price in btc needs to rise now. But some argue that all coins are related, because the fiat/btx rate is mainly determent by people looking at the crypto world from the outside in. If this is true all ALT prices should also drop both in fiat as btc value. The effect should be stronger in a alt. Long term price development in coins like LTC seems to support this. Where do you stand? |

Where do you stand? IMO, Alts right now are in the shadows of BTC, and its going to be a long road before people would relate to any alt as in "name of alt" vs fiat. Im not sure how long it took LTC, but even then its not accepted like BTC at retailers. Its going to need a mentality break to get people away from thinking vs BTC. It would be awesome if XC was the first to do so. We have seen a few alts try this and fail, the only one that I can think of after LTC, would be doge, but that burnt too many newcomers into investing into it high... might have left a bittersweet taste in their mouths. I guess the real question is to think of HOW to have people chose to get on with pricing the alt coin vs fiat. The first obstetrical of course is what makes it better than the alternatives. BTC will be a tough cookie to crack, and we need to have acceptance of the cryptos much more wide spread in order to allow alts to have a place in such a world. |
