[ANN] sgminer v5 - optimized X11/X13/NeoScrypt/Lyra2RE/etc. kernel-switch miner

1.) the new sgminer release seems to have sorted some things out, but removing 'pool-gpu-threads' entry from the pool settings fixed the 60second shutdown

2.) the switching gets screwed up when switching to keccak, the lower gpu-memclock stays stuck on other pools.  the fix for me was to manually define 'pool-gpu-memclock' for each pool

3.) this one was driving me mad last night.  I had the problem happening on my rig with 8GB memory with 3 x 290's. I found that setting a fixed page file/virtual memory to 12GB seems to have fixed it.  It also helped my rig with 4GB memory and 4 x 280x's, one of the 4 GPU's would not start up and throw that Error -4.  Try increasing the virtual memory size in windows.

4.) I have 1 rig running *31* intensity on keccak, my other 2 more powerful rigs are running at 15.  If i try to increase the intensity past 15, it either stays at 25 or the MH/s drops really really low.

Yep, I also had clocks specified in the config. It does not happen when manually switching or at least I was not able to reproduce, prly too few swithes were made.

4. Well.. as far as I see if I start miner with keccak with intensity <15 - all is fine - as in I can set whatever intensity I want after.
Ofc hashrate drops significantly if intensity is raised above 16(don't remember exactly), but that's due to algo specifics.
But if miner is started with I>15, then intensity is set to 25 and won't go lower only higher, that's... not expected behaviour, a bug prly.

Yep I get -4 Errors on Hawaii chipsets whenever I try and build a scrypt or scrypt-N bin with this miner.  For the time being I'm running it as X11/X13/Keccak combo-flip.

Same.  Not worried about scrypt b/c of ASIC multiports coming about, and scrypt-N is way too fucking hot to mine for me at my lat/long.

I have been waiting for something like this..

Because as a Newbie I do very well configuring Scrypt because I purchased some Scrypt GPU rigs and was shown how to configure..

After that Scrypt became less and less profitable because of Asics so there was a need for me to switch to Scrypt-n, X11 or X13 coins but the complicated set up is not something we need. For instance, to miner scrypt-n I would need to flash my drive ( BAMT ) then to download the vertminer, to manually adjust config file and so on..Which for a beginner is hard stuff..

The best would be to have a united cgminer who can mine any ALGO by simply adding pool data to config file and that's it..

Looking forward to see this done and to be able to once and for all being able to MINE any Coin I want without the need of MAJOR manually adjustments..

Please let me know when this is LIVE so I could try to adjust my BAMT to be able to mine any coin I want..

Lot's of issues have been resolved yesterday, including errors when compiling kernels, segfaults, uptime timer, etc. If you're building from source I strongly advise you to build new version from git (git clone -b v5_0 https://github.com/sgminer-dev/sgminer.git). We'll try to provide you with windows binaries later today, but if anyone else is compiling windows binaries - your welcome to drop them here.

Uptimer fix confirmed so far.  Letting this build run for >12 hours to see if any hard hangs on GPU threads happen, or any cold-boot crashes.

Btw, interesting, OCL compiler should have overwritten .cl in /tmp/ before compilation.
Maybe there is a bug with OCL runtime on *nix, on win it does replace .cl files everytime.

I know this is in Alpha / Beta stage but the performance of Marucoin-Mod kernel is still slower than X13mod.
