I think most people have problems with windows and not ubuntu/linux

Which is true for just about anything, not just crypto-currency mining Wink Maybe the time has arrived for everyone to finally drop windoze and switch to Linux for day-to-day work? Wink

There's a reason why that post was Post #666.  You're turning away half of your nicehash hashing crowd by suggesting Windows idiots flocks en masse to Linux simply because the dev team can't come up with a cross-platform solution...

But I get it, lol, Linux gives the superiority complex of an individual a bit of a self-aggrandizing ego boost...

<ystarnaud> i found the problem but i dont know how to fix it...
<ystarnaud> i implemented a fix but it feels like a dirty hack
<ystarnaud> i need to ask someone more knowledgeable with pthread
<ystarnaud> this is clearly a windows only issue with pthread

EDIT:  This is issue is pretty clear as well why some people are running into SICK/DEAD cards on Windows on stock values.  Eventually after so many algo-flips and an extended uptime, a thread seems to go lazy and get stuck on a card, SICKing it.  You can watch it happen because the GPU temp will slip into the 50s or 40s, indicating that it's not hashing correctly anymore, before going SICK

2 damned problems. Both were working in sgminer 4
Both because i have system with different generation cards - 5850 and 290

First. No way to use different kernel for 2 cards
"marucoin-mod,marucoin-modold" - not working

Second.
-d is ignored

I was trying to run 2 intances with different settings (see p.1), but using -d in bat file in order run proper kernel on proper cards
no way.
Always all cards are running.

try setting "remove-disabled" : true, in the config then use the -d option

Same, I'm using his build from June 16th without issue.  The recent week of commits, and the issues that the compiling folks have had with the repo have pushed us Windows folks backwards.

bat file:
sgminer -c 5850.conf -d 1 (lets say 5850 is device 1)

"remove-disabled" : true, is in the conf file

Both cards are running ...

Still tries loading cklovias kernels, followed the example .conf... nothing. Not using Cgwatcher or anything.

Does anybody for Windows have a script or a program that can auto-find a SICK/DEAD card, close the mining instance once in Windows, and re-open the miner again?

don't know what the problem might be except that with 14.6 drivers the TC has to be set way lower
i removed the TC settings in my miner to get it to work, and havent tried to tweak them yet
it will also build cklovias kernel regardless if you dont have "default-profile" set in the main body of the conf

Hey badman, ystarnaud just pushed over 2 more commits to fix the 60second pthread.

Can you wrap up a build in the next few hours?  I think that it would be different from this earlier morning's build.
