I think when Bitcoin become mainstream and media start to report much more about Bitcoin, people will start to change their mind and start using it.
It will took some time, of course, but I hope this will happen soon

Maybe a better way to get people to be comfortable would be to make wallet security education more of an important topic. Today people simply have to figure it out on their own, but some don't even bother like the person in the above thread.

That's why Bitcoin is currently in diapers, next years will still being profitable meanings with Bitcoin Speculation, when the prices gets steady for a long time, that's when people will start being comfortable

Once it becomes more apparent as to how much people are really paying in order to use their debit cards at a merchant people will look to more cost efficient payment methods.

Bitcoin is still at very early age of development, and many people are still unaware about it.
With more people and industry involved (offering Bitcoin for different services and products), and more media coverage, we will gradually see changes and global acceptance of Bitcoin.

I think that people will start to feel much more comfortable using BTC when there are more insurance options and they aren't so scared about having their BTC stolen.   Yes I know that it is your own responsibility to store and secure your own BTC, but that is one of the main reasons that the older generations still trust old school banking systems (because of FDIC insurance).

Minority but growing on the bright side as more of the world starts to come online and begin using the internet globally
So it is in a transition stage but at this point it makes sense to have primary accessibility for all users not just connected users.

Most fiat transactions are done electronically now. The world becomes more connected through the internet everyday. I don't see this being an issue unless there's a massive power outage, but at that point we will have much bigger problems on our hands.

Most fiat transactions are done electronically now. The world becomes more connected through the internet everyday. I don't see this being an issue unless there's a massive power outage, but at that point we will have much bigger problems on our hands.

if there is a massive power outage, then you must have a very large generator sets, so that your electronic transactions will not be disturbed, you can connect to the internet at any time without being interrupted by outages uncharged, but of course requires a generator set fuel source not a little, and even this requires a lot of cost.

You you get paid your wage on BTC so its not as rare to own them.

99% that buy bitcoin are not going to spend it because they can spend it with their hard earned fiat.
If you do not get paid with btc, i dont see how people will risk using it.
